That's from a What If, actually. But I think it's a pretty acceptable feat for Apocalypse because we fairly see much of Apocalypse truly using his powers, particularly his energy manipulation, which we see him display in that scan.

C'mon now, Tony doesn't need prep to control extra armors. Come to think of it, Tony could potentially control any and all his armors at once and just swarm Ikaris.

Giving him the extra armors in a match is prep. He could control them, but he shouldn't have access to them in a vs. match.

Ikaris is pretty badass when he needs to be. I still don't see how Iron Man's going to take him out.
