You had a hole in you.

You can't batkick with a hole in you.

🙂.

While you were concentrating using your chi and what not, the batkick consumed your soul.

No, that's the Bat1MKick.

He's like Danny in the fact that he doesn't have any real powers persay.

He's really strong, really fast, really skilled, and can utilize chi for some...interesting effects.

Here, these are the only images of him in action thus far(save the previews for #9).

So the last what, nine issues?, have been about a tournament? And question if this guy is a "turtle" totem, what is Danny?

Nope. Only the last issue has really been about the tournament.

Seven was about Wu Ao Shi, and the six prior were about the legacy of the Iron Fist - this is the first time it's been a title passed down through the generations.

Well....Wu Ao Shi took on several ships of pirates solo, and Orson Randall punched a man in half...

😛.

So....others are probably not nearly as interested as I am, but do these solicits tell us anything about the likely/possible outcomes?

THE SEVEN CAPITAL CITIES OF HEAVEN keeps kicking and punching its way toward the brutal finish line. Danny fights for survival --- for the centuries-long legacy of the Iron Fist against the other Immortal Weapons; for his own life, as Davos the Steel Serpent makes his deadly move behind the scenes; and for K'un-Lun itself as the sinister Mr. Xao and his legion of Hydra science-terrorists conspire to wreak havok on the mystical city. Can even an ultimate warrior like the Immortal Iron Fist fight a war --- and win --- on three fronts? Even with the classic HEROES FOR HIRE working behind the scenes? Yeah, no, probably not. Hm?

Danny is so not gonna lose.....is what i'm thinking.

and yes, i'm as interested as you!

Danny's not going to lose the tournament in his own series.

Every now and then writers will throw a curve like that, but more consistently, they'll play it safe.

Not necessarily true - I could EASILY see Danny losing the tournament in order to learn a 'bigger lesson,' or to later team up with some of the other fighters, or even lose to some of the fighters in the tournament to set up his 'big clutch win' against them later in the series.

and there's that....

Guess what comes out today?

I have to stop by the comic shop and pick up the last issue also, I've missed like a whole months worth of comics, been so busy lately.

Not only does number nine come out today, but so does the annual.

^_^. Can't wait to pick 'em up.

Welp, Danny lost the first round to Fat Cobra.

It's unclear of whether or not he purposefully threw the match, but he lost regardless. He won't fight in the tournament again until the 'battle royale.'

BUT!

In the annual, we see a very impressive feat.

I would describe it...but...screw it:
