The Immortal Iron Fist

I havd to wait for the trade for this comic and the wait finally paid off. I just bought it and have only read the first issue so far. Despite the hype everyone here has given it, I was skeptical because Iron-Fist was never a character I liked or had any interest in, my favourite moments were when he decided to wear Daredevil's costume for Civil War!

However, I really enjoyed the first issue. Nice art, plenty of action and a nice shocker ending for a first issue, even if we do know that the main character won't die in the first issue of his ongoing (Someone tell that to Brubaker with his amazing Cap series at the moment, without Cap!) The only thing that annoyed me was that Iron-Fist was going through his life history and origins whilst facing numerous enemies? If they weren't such a threat that he could afford to do that, I could understand, but he totally jobbed to them at the end ✅ Good issue though and I'm glad I waited for the trade cos it has his story from the civil war choosing sides at the back 😄

I will probably continue to get this series but in the trades because I'm guessing there will not be much correspondence with the main MU for a long while in this title, it looks like Brubaker has plenty of stories to tell ✅

I have all the issues. Its a good comic book, but needs to improve.

how can a comic book featuring a character called "Fat Cobra" fighting a HUNDRED SHOALIN TERROR MONKS in mortal combat POSSIBLY need improving? I mean, I have no clue what Shoalin terror monk is, but if there is anything modern comics needs more of, it's that.

this book ****ing rocks. i've got 8 on hold, and i already have all the other 7....if the writing stays like this, i'll buy this book forever. ✅

Not to mention the fact that even if Danny wins, he has to face Davos immediately afterwards - they won't even be in the finals against each other. I kind of smell something interrupting the tournament. I'm not sure we'll see anything past the first match - if we even see that to a culmination.

That's why it's awesome though

We know Danny is going to somehow beat him, but how he is going to do it is the real mystery. 😄

Oh and I have a feeling Danny is going to end up losing in the final round to the Prince of Orphans 😬

Iron fist will beat fat cobra with an Ironfist punch. He is not very original or creative with his abilities.

Also, the writers should settle on telling one particular story about Daniel Rand instead about other people who held the title of Iron Fist.

no...no they shouldn't.The stories of past iron fist is one of the things that keeps me reading the book.

I want to see more of the stories on that girl who could throw the glowing arrow stuff (That's the official terminology) ✅
