I loved Korea; I was stationed there for eight months. Daegu is a great city.
How would you say it might be for a non-military resident? Or was it great because it was an emerging market? What do the citizens think about the N. Koreans?
Those are serious questions by the way.
I love my U.S. of A., but since that is not allowed as a choice....I would have to say Japan definately....and the UK is second because from what I read and hear is that them "UK'ans" dont like Americans tomato (well most...no some...maybe a few). Well that is what I think anyway....
Ya'll got sexy accents though ✅

I would've liked it, military or not. The food, the beer, the women, the culture, the hospitality.
But you still have a point; the fact that I had a crew-cut and a uniform, made the experience a little different than if I was just a regular tourist wearing a polo, khakis and a camera around my neck. I guess you could call it an extended working vacation.

I didn't follow the economics. It was great for the reasons I said.

Well, they hate the government, I'm sure you could've guessed that. A lot of families were split in half by the 38th Parallel, so they still have a strong connection to them.
