I can't confirm,[maybe someone else can?] but I saw another user mention that he lifted the ruling in another arc shortly after so the gauntlet could be used to fix something or another, iirc.

This time he had the direct orders of TOAA himself, and the additional amendamant that the ruling was now irreversable.

How it could be working in illuminati, I'm not sure.
