How can everyone be special

If everyone is special, then no one is truely special. I often hear people say "everyone is special" thats just the same as saying "No one is special" Why do people say that? I feel like shit because I am no different than others...... Why should anyone care about me? .... Im just another person....... another "special person". I am not like anyone else, Just like everyone else. anyway, I want everyone's opinion on this, so Yeah, I am listening

Alot of people I know of do, but they never say why, which only proves they are saying it to make me feel better, and when I find out, It only makes me depressed like I am now.

Of course that's why they are saying it. Unless you do something truly deserving of the special title then they are just stroking your ego to make you feel better when you are down. Only hurts you in the end...like anal sex.
