Are the old "Tales of Asgard" stories canon? Because they have some nice feats

They are because they reprint some of the old Journey into Mystery comics.

Hasn't this feat changed??? Thor admitted, mjolnir is what enables him to fly.

What, you mean retconned? I don't see why. He doesn't need Mjolnir to fly. Hell, based on the simple fact he controls the weather, he doesn't need Mjolnir.

Can anyone explain what he was doing in Invaders/Avengers he was fighting along side the nazi's.

Did you read 602?? Which one is more recent? I don't read all of Thor's comics

I just did. Where does it say Thor cannot fly without Mjolnir?

Thor withstanding the weight of a score of planets!

Thor is able to safely catch, the speedster Zefra before she could react!

Yeah he can't fly without the hammer man.

Where does it say that? I have the entire issue right here, in front of me. Am I missing a page?

Can anyone post the scan where it says so? I can upload the issue, but if I'm missing a page, it's pretty redundant.

Sorry i'm not talkin bout the issue, i just know that he needs it to fly.

He doesn't. Simply based on his powers, he shouldn't need Mjolnir to fly. Either way his shown he doesn't need Mjolnir to fly.

Even though he prayed to it to let him fly?

The closest thing you can get from that statement, is that Mjolnir, is the fastest way to get him to his destination, and based on what Blake said, then that's probably the case. I don't why he flew. Mjolnir can simply transport him there instantly, but maybe they wanted a bit more drama in the story.

How can you base off that statement, that Thor needs Mjolnir to fly or can't fly without her, if he flew as Classic Thor?

They didn't recton the ability.

That second scan is from The Reigning storyline, so he's full with the Odinforce; I imagine levitation would be easy.

The first one - well, why not?

It used to be stated he needed mjolnir for weather manipulation, but Thor: Blood Oath showed him bringing down the storm & lighting without mjolnir, to defeat Hercules. So...just as Storm can use it to fly, I imagine he can as well, but I assume at a slower speed than using the hammer. He must need a full storm to lift him up and move him, though - not like Ororo, who can create a thin membrane of air around her body that floats her wherever she wants.

While powerless and mortal, Thor shows tremendous skill and strength, by defeating Grog, the God Crusher in combat!
