Thor, with the strength of a million men, and the speed of one!
You should know better than to fall into the "here's a few ambiguous showings spread across decades of Thor being incredibly fast!." considering you actually read him up.
Though it's a bit extreme on how it's portrayed, I don't see anything wrong with Wolverine being faster than him, who has consistently been portrayed as very fast, all things considered.

How are they any less ambigious than Wolverine's supposed showings? 😐
Except the fact that Thor has better showings. Fortunately, I doubt if this comic is canon to the 616 verse. Wolverine being faster than Thor is ridiculous.

Off the top of my head, I recall OneDumbGo arguing that Thor has faster than instant reflexes.. then faster than light... or something equally dumb, based on him blocking Rachel's attack. Then we have him throwing a pie at suppodley lightspeed and fans passing it on as fact. Then IIRC we have him dig a ditch at superspeed and it being proof of him being capable of high-end speeds. Or a throwaway 'microsecond time' line.
Ambiguous in the sense that the speed at which the attack/Thor operates is not necesarilly stated. But you're right. Ambiguous isn't the word. I think the word is idiotic stances from a few "I want them to be high end examples!" fanboys that are not consistent with the character's history.
Yes, obviously this comic is not intended to be canon. And it's a DESPERATE STANCE to say otherwise.
And yes, obviously looking at their entire histories and performances in combat against mutual opponents and others, Wolverine being faster than Thor is RIDICULOUS!!1
I hope you're not this dumb and this arguments are purely because you think you're losing ground as a Thor fan because of other fanboys arrived at the scene, but just so you know, you're making yourself look as laughable as they are. At least, I like to think that is why you're doing this.

Yep. The writer is just trying to find reasons to extend the fight beyond a couple pages. I know Thor has been surprised by speed blitzing by the likes of Mongoose, but he eventually showed him what superspeed really is. I think because he was just trying to talk to Wolverine, he wasn't going full out.
At least we saw Logan's claws only caused surface scratches with minor bleed on Thor.

I'm curious as to what it takes to get super-speed then. When Loki, Adam Warlock, Pluto, Surfer and Hela all grant Thor incredible speed. But I guess that's all nonsense. And how are these speed feats ambigious, the man reacted before a telepathic attack reached him. If you dig a ditch before anyone else can react, that is super speed! If you attack Hela so fast that she can't react, that is super speed!
You have one recent showing, which supposedly invalidates all of Thor's other fights. But please go on and present this consistency of Thor being displayed as a slow character. I mean, Surtur claimed that Thor was fast, but that's all nonsenes. Right? For some reason, your adolescent mind seems to think that you must have light-speed reflexes to be faster than Wolverine. And a speed feat is either light-speed, or nothing!

"He is as fast as lightning" lip-service. Digging a ditch with his magical hammer. "The speed of Rachel's attack isn't stated, but I'll attach what speed I'm comfortable with to it, eventough it doesn't make sense considering Thor's history!" stance. Ah, those arguments certainly override consistency with how the character has been portrayed! Hey, perhaps, I'm the one missing the bigger picture here. Evidently I've missed the fights where he has repeatedly been portrayed as a speedster. Ah, make that fight.
If it would have been Spiderman (ding!), he too would have been portrayed faster than Thor. I know, and you know it. You just like to have a narrow point of view because you don't like the truth. You really think the writers go all "I've read all of Thor's history and HERE. In 1976! A showing/statement I can finally misinterpret as meaning Thor is very fast!". No, they don't. "How is Thor's speed usually portrayed ?" or "I remember Wolverine dancing around the Hulk, and Thor doesn't seem to have a big speed advantage over him" is most likely. But you and a few others just can't seem to understand this, for obvious reasons and go all "WAAAAH WOST COMIC EVA!!". Like I said, I'd like to think you're just acting at this point.

Good Post. Like someone said earlier they just had to prolong the fight. Thor should not have been cut either IMO.
But Wolverine is one of Marvels babies so they had to make him look good no matter who he fights.
