Planning on buying either a ps3 or xbox 360 by the end of the year.

Early 90s - I was fascinated by videogames from a very young age, my cousins would take me to the arcades to play Street Fighter and Double Dragon, which is where I developed my lifelong affinity for good old-fashioned beat em ups.

1993 - for my seventh birthday, my parents got me my first console, Sega Genesis, which is still my favorite to this day, even though I had to share it with my brother. So many wasted hours pounding the hell out of the MK series when I should have been out playing tag or something. Good times.

Fav games: Mortal Kombat I, II & III, Streets of Rage, Street Fighter II, Revenge of Shinobi, NBA Jam, Road Rash, Golden Axe, Predator

1997 – the PlayStation era. Always had doubts whether anything would replace my beloved Genesis, and for a while I thought nothing could. Then Tekken 2 came out, and I discovered survival horror. Hello, second lover.

Fav games: Tekken II & III, Kensei Sacred Fist, Final Fantasy VII, Resident Evil I, II & III, Silent Hill, Dino Crisis, Silent Bomber, Metal Gear Solid, Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2

2001 – Broke my PlayStation, so for the first time I ever, I bought a new console myself. The only PS2 game I had for ages was Tekken Tag Tournament, as I refused to pay the ridiculous memory card prices and so buying new games was pretty pointless. Soon saw the error of my ways though, the promise of new Silent Hill and Grand Theft Auto games proved too much for my principles. I can't afford a PS3, but I'm still very happy with my lovely black toaster-shaped friend nearly six years later.

Fav games: SSX, Silent Hill II & III, Devil May Cry, Mortal Kombat DA & Armageddon, Soul Calibur II & III, Final Fantasy X, GTA3, VC & SA, Burnout 2, Mercenaries

As of 2007, I don't really have any interest in the increasinly powerful (and expensive) consoles. I'd rather have my old Sega back, with its pure gameplay and uncomplicated fun, than splash out on a PS3 or Xbox. But that's just me, sucker for nostalgia. Although, a next-gen sequel to Shaq-Fu may sway me.

I'm not that much of a console player, I got my first console, a PS , about the year of 1998 or somewhere around that.

1997- A year before I migrated from Russia to America, my brother got his first computer. Damn stupid bastard wont even let me type on the keyboard, but later I demanded my rights on the computer and started playing as well. My first game was one of the first NFS's, I remember how I used to use this cheat on it which let me use a limo with a circular pool on the back of it's trunk, and it was slow like hell, yet whenever I raced my bro I used it just for the laughs of it.

1998 - Hello, USA! One of my best friends that also came from Russia but a few years before me, had a PS 1. He let me borrow it for a week, and I didn't really know what to think of it, but I played it since the comp in Russia stayed there.

1999- - Bought custom made comp from a Chinese computer store. It really, really sucked which is surprising for a custom made comp. Althought it served me wellf or the next 3 years. Favorite games? Aliens vs Predator. I just loved that game and playing as a predator. Made me feel so good.

2001- I got my Gameboy-Advanced. Really, didn't play it much althought it helped when I stood in a huge line, and that happened alot since my family goes to trips alot. Favorite Games: Lol, by that time, I was crazy with the Pokemon Games.

2002- My PS2, I loved that damn thing althought I still didn't spend as much time on it as I did on my PC. Favorite games would be Devil May Cry 3, and one of the SOCOM games.

2003- I got an Xbox. and with it came the famous Halo. That game still sits in my heart, for I enjoyed it so great, killing those little flood and covenants and flying a Banshee gave me pure joy. Favorite Game: Halo

2004- I got a Dell. Whew, that old piece of junk I had for such a long time was finally given to my Brother's office. On this Dell I could now play the games that I couldn't play before including Star Wars: Battlefront, which rocked.

2006- I got a really really GOOD custom made comp. I still use it and love it with all my heart. Lol, but it does have 3 fans in it and makes so much noise.

2007- I got my PS 3 and my Xbox 360. Really, I wont say much right now but after a year or so I'll share my opinions about them.

2007- I'm still a PC- Maniac playing games like Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth2, Medieval 2: Total War, Company of Heroes, The Elder Scrolls 4: OBLIVION, Age of Empires 3, and LOTS of more.

I found old thread.

I wonder how much has changed with theses people since then.
