Well I can understand killing sorcerers or eating people out of necessity, but why kill somebody and then eat them if they taste bad and you have some perfectly good chickens to eat as well?
Makes no sense, unless they taste good in which case it does make sense.

This happened up until the 60's... I don't think the Fore [prn: Fo-Rey] made they correlation between the disease and the eating of corpses, as they were a fairly primitive culture. Yes, I guess it would be considered cannibalism.
If I recall, the disease was contracted only from eating of the brain, which the Fore said tasted the "sweetest".
