Tanaraq is the personification of death on earth when it was first commencing alive, and is older than the Earth. He's an Elder God.

In this case I disagree. Munji makes great respect threads but the feats for Tanraq just show him as a ridiculosly powerful and durable brawler.
Of the feats shown he only has one attack that Hulk would have no defense against and besides that just show the ability to absorb tons and tons of damage from various sources.
I'm sure he's got the power to put down Hulk but a lot of this guy's power seems to be hyperbole 馃槵
Tanaraq is even stronger than Hulk, in Exiles he manhandled Namora who is class 100 like she was nothing. Using magical backlash Hulk has no defense against, if it hurt Talisman so bad he is done for. He is indeed older than the Earth, and indeed the personfication of death on Earth when it was first commencing alive. That's what the Great Beasts are.

Omega Flight #3 of 5: Tanaraq Apperance
Tanaraq will make his return to 616 comics in Omega Flight #3, when the Wrecking Crew brought by an unknown force enters the Realm of the Beasts only to find an imprisoned Tanaraq. Interesting to note Tanaraq is the size of a building here, which concides with Omega Flight #2 as Beta Ray Bill had a vision of Tanaraq the size of a city. We've only seen him a handfull of times. In those apperance (going by Munji's thread) he looks like a really good brawler with a psychic attack to me.
