It started in America with 3 girls that started accusing others of being witches, some of it joking around, but then it got serious, and they liked the attention and power of it, finally it got out of control until the Pastors wife, I believe, was accused or somebody in authority. It's been awhile since I read it though. I believe that started the Salem Witch trials.

Reading on witch being burn along time ago.I had read that most of the witches who were burn was not witches to begin with.Do you think they were not or were?
I did a whole lot of research on this in order to create a debate on this particular subject not long ago, maybe it would come in useful to try and find those notes since the topic is active..
It was also interesting for the unfair trails they had put these woman and I think some man through.Any thoughts on this part of history?jm

I believe not in Wicca. I challenge anyone who claims to practice Wicca to show me a magic trick. A spell, if you will. Don't curse me, just show me it is real.
I challenge YOU to actually read up on Wicca. Contrary to what most stereotypes say, Wiccans are not all about spells, magic, and hexing. Do you know about the herbalism part of Wicca? Take this from someone who was actually apart of Wicca, there's more to magic than magic itself.

I do hope you realize that what you're saying is offensive. It's the same as saying you'd love to challenge an Irish man to a drinking contest or a Black man to gang banging...

The analogy still applies. Discrimination based on the creed, color, etc of a group of people. I personally would have used religions, though.
Well the analogy doesn't really apply does it, wicca is a chosen past time, not the colour of one's skin. A religion analogy would have been much more appropriate.
Actually, Hebrews have racial traits. Judaism does not carry any specific racial traits.
I digress, my point about religion still stands. I'm also trying to figure out why the Wicca religion is so stigmatized. It doesn't sound anymore silly than any other religion out there. Indeed, it seems much more reasonable than Scientology, for instance.
