From what I see it happen twice. The first time was in the beginning where he lost that huge chunck of health. He cut of someones leg and then pull out a greade or incindinary kunai tackled you down by the legs and stabbed himself or ryu with it and it exploded killing him taking a huge amount of health.
in the third fight one of the ninja got their arm cut of and was still slicing at ryu for like 5 second then fell over and died from blood loss. It was crazy

Ryu has reversals for just about everythin gsamus can throw at him. HE HA SDODGE JUST ABOUT EVERY PROJECTILE THERE IS. With ease. Of course why. because if canon wise he were to be hit he would be dead.
Dodging aircraft gaitling guns,homing missles, missles, machine gun fire, hand guns fire, Ion/proton/light ray cannons. Kunais, shurikens, arrows, What will be the difference here. Ryu has showed no slowing down in speed. So why wont he dodge Around Samus. Teleport around samus. Ryu will outmanuver and bust through his sheilds. Via Spirit Ball or Kamameha Hadoken blastin his doa ending and promo.

Samus losing to Ryu is something beyond funny. But as I said, Samus doesn't really have any feats while in the midst of a versus topic. She's just a woman in a suit.
