He's the second most skilled sorcerer in the MU, when/if Strange dies, he becomes Sorcerer Supreme.

Funny, I just checked your original post, and it doesn't say anything about magic at all...just that it's to be a battle of wits, and they can build their usual machines and have their usual resources.
Magic IS one of Doom's usual resources...
