Chapter 15
identities revealed.
"Harry James Potter! get out of your bed now!" Ginny screamed.
"no...i'm sleeping...tired...busy night...got headache" he said rolling over.
"thats your own fault running off to fight you idiot, do you know how worried i was, get out of your pit now!" she screamed.
"alright...keep your hair on...wazza matta?" he asked groggily.
"whats the matter is that whilst you've been asleep your daughter has turned the living room into the north flippin pole, theres snow everywhere and she was holding your wand" she said jabbing him in the chest.
"she did magic, thats brilliant-" he began but Ginny wacked him around the head.
"no it isn't Potter she could have hurt herself" Ginny informed him.
"i'm sorry babe" he said pulling her into him and kissing her, he rested his forehead on hers. "do you forgive me?" he whispered.
"course i do, you oaf, now go and get showered and i'll look after Mara. We'll meet you in the great hall it's lunch time." she walked out of the room and through his wand at him which hit him on the side of the head. She picked up Mara and walked downstairs.
Harry walked into the kitchen and made himself a cup of coffee, his head was hurting and he kept getting flasbacks from last night, buildings blowing up...endless screaming...people dying...people calling him...voldermort. He lent of the sink biting his lower lip, pain was searing through his body, he had his shower, finished his coffee and got rid of the snow on his way to the great hall for lunch.
He slowly made his way to the great hall using secret passages to get there unseen. Thinking he had done quite well to get there unoticed he was annoyed to walk into the great hall to clapping ans cheering, once again the front cover of the phophet was enlarged showing harry hewing the head of nagini off, with the caption ‘the heir of Godric Gryffindor revealed’. when harry saw it he cursed under his breath, he pushed through the crowd and eventually reached his friends after finally getting away from a pestering lavender, he sat down at the table and mara climbed into his lap.
“did you use my wand, was it fun?” he asked smiling.
“Harry!” Ginny scolded him.
“oh…yes, well you shouln’t have done that mara, you’ll get a wand soon and I’ll show you what to do with it” harry sais smiling.
“erm…harry..you should read this” ron said handing him the paper.
‘The Heir of Godric Gryffinfdor revealed?’
last night arouns seven pm diagon alley was attacked by death eaters and he must-not-be-named himself, the order of the phoenix and several aurors were present and seemed to be holding them back, but the death eaters were causing death and destruction, shops were being destroyed innocent people killed.
It wasn’t long before the defenders were calling for the aid of Harry Potter, Potter is obviously seen as a leader, if more qualified fighters and elite fighters call for the seventeen year olds help.
Only a couple of minutes after the first call, Potter appeared clutching the tail of fawkes up until recently the pet of Albus Dumbledore, it seems Harry is the phoenixs new master which is strange because when a phoenix owner dies the bird does not have to serve anybody else.
At the sight of Harry Potter the first few rows of Death Eaters began to retreat and then run away, Harry Potter instantly went to the front line of the defenders and regrouped them, his tactics and bravery forced the death eaters right back down the sreet, we believe this is when you-know-who turned up to try and sdalvage some of the battle, he instantly set his giant snake on the defenders and caused great damage until Potter appeared by the side of it the sword of Godric Gryffindor in his hands and he cleaved the snakes head off, a light mist appeared above its body then vanished.
Harry Potter and you-know-who dueled for several minutes death eaters and the defenders stood side by side watching the duel, once it became clear that he could not kill Potter, you-know-who dissaparated along with his followers.
Is there any convinience to the fact that Potter yielded the sowrd of Gryffindor which legend says on heirs can wield into battle, has our saviour finally showed.
Top ministry officials are tracking back Potters heritage to see what they can find, we shall inform the wizarding world of their discoveries’
“damn, I need to go to the ministry” he said angrily.
“So Harry, is it true, are you his heir?” Seamus asked eyes round as galleons. Harry sighed.
“no point in denying it, yes seamus its true” he sighed again.
“wicked!” he shouted. “ITS TRUE!” he shouted out to the hall.
“I’m gonna go ride lighting” Harry said standing up.
“daddy can I come too?” mara asked, Harry looked at Ginny whio eventually nodded.
“take mara and meet me out the front of the school” he said to Ginny, who nodded and picked mara up.
Harry made his way to the stables shaking off anybody who was following .
“hey girl, you wanna ride, yeh” he climbed in her and went down the passage leading out of the cave. He galloped to the front of the school, students who he passed began to chase after him, he turned the last corner and trotted over to Ginny, mara, ron and hermione.
“oh hes beautiful!” hermione said reaching up to pathis neck. “he’s huge”
“he’s a stallion Hermione, he is supposed to be huge” Ron said shaking his head. Harry and lightning had captured a lot of attention especialy from the girls, Harry placed a shield around them to stop them getting closer.
“wheres his saddle?” seamus asked.
“there is no saddle worthy of such a horse” Harry replied.
“Daddy can I come up?” Mara sqealed.
“Sure up you come its gonna be fast” he said ligting her up with one arm,
“I know, I’ve been on before silly” she said to him.
“okay hold on tight- run lighning, ostendo nos voluntas of festinatio!” Harry cried, he dug his heels into lighning, he reered on his back legs and then sot away, it took no time to put a lot of distance between them.
“Shit! That is one fast horse” Ron shouted.
“Since when can Harry ride a horse or speak latin?” Dean said scowling.
“We don’t know, but Harrys full of surprises” Hermione said pulling ron towards the school.
“bloody hell, whos that!” Ron shouted as a black horse shot past them equaling the speed of Harrys horse.
“I think it was Professor Evans” Hermione said.
“theres something dodgy about that bloke” Ron said scowling.
“just because I said I thought it was him, doesn’t mean I fancy him Ronald” Hermione said.
“I know, but hes obvioulsy following Harry” he said.
“yes, I didn’t think of that” Harmione said biting her lip.
“Harry will be fine, lets go to his dorm” Ginny said pulling them away.

“you having fun?” Harry shouted to mara.
“faster daddy, faster!” she sqealed.
“what about lightning you’ll tire him- were being followed, hold on darling!” he said to mara, he turned lightning around and reered him on his back legs and pulled his wand out.
“show yourself!” he commanded. The hooded figure brought his horse to a canter and then stopping his horse going in circles.
“we must talk Mr Potter, its me professor evans, we need to talk, be at my office in a hour, don’t be late Mr Potter.” He said before galloping away.
“hes creepy daddy” Mara said to Harry.
“yes, he is, lets go back to mommy” Harry said.
“wll she look after me when you go?” she asked.
“yes, she might, come on” he said making lightining run.

More news
They returned lightning to the stable and placed him near the mysterious black horse, he took mara back to there dorm where there friends were waiting eagerly for them.
“mommy we went really fast and there was someone following us and daddy pulled his wand out and the man told him to meet him in the dungeons and you have to look after me” mara blurted out.
“really is that so, what if im busy” Ginny said picking her up.
“then I’ll do it” Ron said brightly, Ginny looked at him aprehensively.
“but I want mommy to look after me” Ginny wailed.
“I will don’t worry, when do you have to go?” Ginny asked Harry.
“in half an hour, I’m gonna change” he said kissing her before he walked into the bedroom.
“so mara what are we going to do tonight?” Ginny asked mara.
“we can go on daddys horse” she said hopefully.
“but thtas daddys horse, only he can take you on him” Ginny said sitting down, mara looked crestfallen.
“we could go and see nanny and grandad” she said smiling.
“we cant darling, I’ll get daddy to take you okay” Ginny said, Mara nodded her head. Ginny also smiled, she was happy that mara wanted to see her parents.
“I’m going now Gin, okay, I don’t know how long I’m going to be” Harry said kissing her and mara, he then left the dorm and made his way to the dungeons.
“come in” came a voice on the other side of the door when harry knocked on the door, he turned the handle and entered.
“good evening Harry” snape said.
“severus” harry replied with a curt nod.
“yes, errr…well harry” snape began “there is somebody I would like you to meet, this is matthew evans” he said pointing to his man, who was watching harry for great interest. He held out his hand.
Harry looked at it and said.
“you scared mara, what were you playing at?” harry asked cautiously. The man smiled.
“just like your father, didn’t trust those who hurt his friend” he said returning his hand to the side. The door bust open and tonks fell in.
“filch and his bloody cat! Sorry I’m late,wotcher harry!” she said hugging him.
“hows mara?” she asked beaming.
“shes fine, she stole my wand last night and turned the common room into the north pole” harry said smiling “ginny wasn’t to happy” he said indocating to his face. Tonks laughed.
“well then now that we are all hear, lets begin” snaoe began “now Harry, most people are aware of your magical ablillities and so is voldermort after your display and diagon alley.” Snape continued.
“are you going to train me” harry asked.
“yes harry, although from what tonks has said, you have already beaten voldermort in a duel but he escaped.” Matthew said smiling, harry slowly nodded.
“although your dueling appears to be good, your must learn occlumency and legilimens at a higher grade, tonks will teach you how to sword fight and matthew how to duel” snape told him
“do you have any questions harry?” matthew asked.
“who the hell are you?” Harry asked.
Matthew smiled and bade goodnight to tonks and snape and asked harry to walk with him along through the corridors.
“harry, there is something you have to know…your mother was my cousin, you are my cousin” he said smiling.
“you knew my mother?” harry asked. He did not know much about her.
“knew your mother- harry, she was the only person I cared about, the closest thing to a friend I have ever had.” He said turning away. Harry placed his hand on his shoulder.
“tell me” harry said, matthew slowly turned back around.
“your mother, lilly, was in the year above me, she was there for me when nobody else was…I don’t like to brag, but I was clever, I could beat seventh years in exams whilst I was in my second year, lilly looked after me until I left.” He told harry.
“you left, why?” harry asked.
“I was…to advanced for this school, so I was transferred to a school in france for gifted witches and wizards, I’ve spent my life travelling and learning so I can avenge my cousin and her husbands killer, a way of saying thankyou to your mother” he said smiling.
“but why, I could have lived with you, that would have been a better way to say thankyou” harry said angrily. “I had to stay with the dursley while you went travelling!”
“Harry its time, you found out the real reason why I couldn’t look after you, I had already been given a job to do by albus dumbledore…the truth is harry, when your mother died she was pregnant” he said, harry fell to the floor his back against the wall.
“we took your mother to st mungos, we managed to save your sister, I have been raising your sister for the past sixteen years otherwise I would have taken you in” he said “her names emma, she knows everything about you, she has waited all her life to meet you, I caught her trying to escape to see you several times but she wasn’t allowed yet.” Matthew told him.
“sister…dumbledore…he knew…sister!” harry said, he jumped up and ran to the heads office, the gargoyle sprang to life before he reached it and harry ran up the stairs three at a time and burst into the office.
“Mr Poter what on earth are you doing here at this time!” she asked alarmed.
“DUMBLEDORE! Where is he!” Harry shouted.
“hes visiting another portrait” McGonagall replied “why?”
“something else he hasn’t told me” harry said leaving the office and making his way to his dorm. Once there he poured a glass of water, he drank half of it and through the rest at the wall, it shattered into hundreds of pieces.
“arrgh!” he shouted venting out his frustration.
“Harry whats the matter?” Ginny said coming out of the bedroom in her night clothes.
“Professor Evans…is my cousin, hes been hiding for the past sixteen years.” Harry said seething.
“and?” Ginny questioned.
“with my sister, he knew! Dumbledore knew!” Harry shouted.
“Sister? Oh my god Harry that’s brilliant, isn’t it?” Ginny said hugging him.
“yes, of course, but dumbledore knew, the prophecy, my heritage, my sister and he had the nerve to sit infront of me all of those times and look into my eyes and not tell me.” Harry said.
“How old is she?’ Ginny asked.
“well about your age, my mom was pregnant with her when she died but they saved the baby” he said. “come on, I’m tired lets go to bed” he said yawning.
They woke up the next morning thanks to ron yellig for Harry, Ron and hermione burst into the bedroom and smiled, Ginny had her head on Harry shoulder and was leaning on him, whilst Mara was sleeping on top of him again.
“Ron you *******!” Harry shouted standing up with mara in his hands. “What is it?”
“the daily prophet knows you’re the heir, the whole world knows, it has your family tree in it, they also know you are the richest wizard in the world with your amount written down” ron told him.
“shit, did they enlarge another picture?” Harry asked.
“yes…well about that, somebody got a picture of you coming out of the lake, showing your…figure off…even hermione blushed, you should have seen lavenders face, you’ll have to watch out for her, shes conspiring.” He said laughing.
“yeh, damn I need to get out of here, get some work done on the horcruxes.” Harry said standing up. He clicked his fingers and his possensions dissapeared.
“ginny wake uo darling” Harry said prodding her.
“what is it Harry?” she asked sitting up.
“I’m leaving, the prophets found out about my fortune, I need to get out, I can’t have mara around when the Harry Potter fan club follows me eveywhere.” He said to her.
“harry are you going to be okay on your own with mara?” she asked.
“yeh course, slippy loves helping and I can go see you mom” he said.
“Okay be carefull” she said kissing mara and Harry.
Chapter 17
Reuntided
Harry dressed mara abd took his sword off the shelf and slung it over his shoulder.
“Come on darling we are going home” he said picking mara up.
“Daddy I want leo!” she said, harry searched the dorm and eventually found the stuffed lion harry had bought her.
“Here you go mara” he said handing her the teddy. “now were going to ride lightning for a long time so you need to hold on to me for a long time, okay?” he said to her.
Harry made his way to the stables and came across Professor Evans.
“Harry good morning, don’t forget a certain person is waiting to see you” he said to Harry smiling.
“yes, I am aware, I’m leaving for Potter Manor, my training shall take place there, could you let tonks and severus know, heres the address.” Harry said writing the address down and gave it to him.
“Okay when shall I bring Emma around?” he asked smiling.
“tomorrow…not to early…see you then…cousin” he said smiling.
“yes tomorrow” they both departed.
Harry reached the stables and mounted lightning, he cantered down the passage waiting for the crack in the rock to appear, eventually it did so he began to gallop, he rode through the crowd of students, some again decided to chase after him, the gates opened automatically for him and closed tight once he had gone.
Potter Manor was only an hours ride away as it was also in scotland, surprisingly Harry and Mara were not attacked by Death Eaters of Dementors and sucessfully managed to acess his estate through the twenty foot high iron gates. Harry stabelled the horse and entered the house.
“were home darling” Harry said kissing her forehead. “do you want to go back to bed?”
“yes, I’m still tired” she said nuzzeling her head against his chest.
Harry took her up to the nursery and lay her down to sleep, she began to stir so Harry passed her leo, she tucked it under her arm and went to sleep, Harry tucked her in and kissed her on the forehead.
He decided to go to the gym and work out, after a few hours he became tired and sweaty so he took a shower, being only midday he didn’t want to go to bed, so he called slippy and got to know the other house elevs, he informed them of the guest that was arriving to tomorrow and of the christmas plans and they were excited of preparing such a big meal for the first time in seventeen years.
He couldn’t concentrate his mind kept wondering tio Ginny so he let it and kept thinking about, he was missing her badly, he forget the medal he gave her whilst he was thinking about her and it was glowing radiantly causing McGonagall to stop class and ask ginny to tell the class about.
“Did Mr Potter charm it himself?” she asked after Ginny told them what it does.
“I think so he gave it to me at my brothers wedding, he had plenty of time to do so” she told McGonagall.
“I except it cost a fair bit as well, it really is an exceptional piece of charm work, he’s certainly thinking about you a fair bit” she said smiling. Ginny blushed.
“never before have I seen such brilliant wizarding, its s ashame albus isn’t here to see him” she sniffeled…

Being extremely Harry found his way to the master bedroom only managing to take his shirt off before crahing out on the bed asleep.
Believing he’d only just fallen asleep somebody was nudging him.
“Daddy wake up, theres somebody at the door, I’m going to answer it if you don’t wake up” she said jumping on the bed, she bounced off and ran out of the room with leop tucked under her arm.
“no mara don’t open the door” he said finally clocking onto what she had said, he picked up his wand and chased after her. “MARA!”
He reached the top of the stairs and looked down, there was a young girl standing in the doorway holding mara, harry dropped his wand in disbelief, at first he thought it was his mother but he saw her black hair.
“Daddy!” Mara shouted.
Harry slowly began to walk down the stairs not blinking incase she dissapeared, he reached the bottom of the stairs, she was smaller than she looked from above, her hair was the same raven colour of Harry and there dad, she also had there fathers eyes, deep brown and full of life.
“I’ve waited for ever to see you Harry” she said, she placed Mara on the ground and ran across to him, he opend his arms and she ran into him squeezing the life out of him.
:you look like dad so much, more than the pictures show” she said crying. He wrapped his arms around him and hugged her.
“I don’t know what to sat Emma” he said shocked. He couldn’t find the right words at this time.
“well, this is mara” he said, he released her and picked mara up.
“hey mara, I’m auntie emma, so mara did I wake daddy up?” she asked her
“yes, I had to wake him up, see hes not dressed!” Mara said.
“I can see that, I thought the picture might have been exaggerated, obviously not” she said smiling , Harry blushed.
“I haven’t seen the picture’ he said summoning his wand.
“wow! Wandless magic I cant do it, you’ll have to teach me” she said smiling.
“Sure, are you hungry?”
“yes, it was a long journey, matthews tying our horses up”
“okay, Slippy!” Harry called.
“yes master” she squeaked.
‘can you prepare emma some food, whilst I dress mara and well, myself too.
“yes master” she asnswered.
“take a seat emma, we’ll be back in a minute.
He began to lead Mara out of the room when fawkes appeared and grabbed Harry.
“auntie Emma, Fawkes took Daddy, can you dress me?’ she asked.
“sure, then we’ll explore the house” emma said smiling.

Harry reappeared unconvenietly in the middle of the great hall half dressed.
“Ah Mr Potter, oh dear I seem to have caught you at and unconvinient time” McGonagall said blushing.
“yes, I’d only just put my trousers on your lucky, the girsl would have got a treat” he said smiling, a thin smile crept on McGonagalls face.
“yes weel, albus wants to see you, he says its urgent” she told him.
“fine, fawkes protect Potter Manor” he said to fawkes he vanished in a ball of flames.
‘so that where your staying?” she asked smiling.
“yes, it’s a beautiful place, I need a orer meeting there soon, I have plans I wish to propose” he added with a whisper.
“very well” she said, Harry stepped down from the staff table the entire hall was still watching him.
The students began to merge around him so harry sey his shield up to stop them getting to him.
“hi Harry!”
“oh, hi lavender, how are you?” he asked her.
“I’m good, I’ve missed you” she said smiling.
“that’s nice, have you seen Ginny?” he asked.
“No!” she said offended, she attempted to move to him but she was rebounded.
“HARRY!” Ginny shouted from behind the crowd.
Ginny pushed her way through the crowd and she jumped on to him and he swung her around before kissing her.
“has she arrived?” she whispered into his ear.
“yes…she looks like mom except shes got dads hair and eyes.” He said smiling.
“Why can she get near you!” Lavender asked crossly.
“Because I want her too” Harry said smiling before he kissed her again.
“Harry!” it was Ron and Hermione, they passed easily through the shield.
“all right mate, just got up?” he said smiling
“yeh, nobody to boss me around, well mara made me get up but at least she doesn’t hit me” he said smiling, Ginny retorted with a playfull ounch to the arm. He shook rons hand and hugged Hermione in turn.
“how are your classes, keeping ron in line are you?” he asked hermione smiling.
“yes, he actually works without you distracting him” she said smiling.
“Ron! Your working hard, ah, you’ve let me down ron, I always thought better of you, I’m writing you out of my will” Harry joked. Ron pnched him smiling.
“how you tried not working when your sitting between the bossiest girls in the school.” He said grabbing him.
“no I spose not, but you could just fall asleep” Harry said.
“yeh, yeh, so why are you here?” Ron asked.
“Dumbledore wants to see me” Harry said “how am I gonna get through the crowds” he asked.
“prongs Harry” Hermione said.
“wicked idea!” Ron said.
“Harry do you want me to come with you?” ginny asked.
“no you better not, I’m gonna lose my temper” he said.
“why Harry?” Hermione asked.
“more lies Hermione, more lies, you’ll know soon” he said. He kissed Ginny goodbye and changed into Prongs, he lowered his antlers and the crowd soon parted.
Harry raced up to the office and the gargoyle moved, still in his stag form Harry bursted into the office, finally changing back into human form, Harry stood there glaring at Dumbledore.
“Ah Harry, fantastic, we are finally reunited at last, but first I must say I’ve missed you and your parents and sirius say hello and they also think Ginny is perfect and sirius says if you got your arse out earlier he would would have won the pot whilst you were alive. So how are you?” Dumledore asked smiling.
“How am I! Did my parents say hello to my sister to” he bit back angrily.
“ah yes…I have a perfectly good reason” Dumbledore said bowing his head.
“Well!”
“its just that you were a terrible occlumens, if voldermort read your mind-“
“But I wouldn’t have been alone, sixteen years of cruelty, physical violence, slavery, lonliness,for ten years I hoped somebody would come and rescue me, ten years of thinking my parents died in a car crash, ten years sleeping in a cupboard no bigger than a broom cupboard, sixteen years of emotional pain!” he shouted, finally relaesing some of the emotions that had been building up unside of him. Since Harry had turned around he could not see the few tears that rolled down the old mans face.
“Harry-“ he began.
“yeh, Gryffindors Heir, you should have told me in y second year, the sword answered my call, you should have told me!” he shouted. He turned away again.
“Harry fogive an old man and his mistakes…Minerva has shown me the papers, I know theres a lot of pressure on you, but you can do it, I presume Nagini was a horcrux” he asked.
“yes and I found the real horcrux in Regulas Blacks bedroo, the one we got was a fake, but I don’t know how to destroy it” Harry said sitting down.
“you will find help in the Potter Manor library, a magnificent place, well down to the reason I asked you to come.” Dumbledore said looking up.
“the order is leaderless. Minerva does not wish to take over…I have heard of your leadership, I have been informed by tonks, Remus, Mopdy and several other people that you have won the battles for the order…that is brilliant…you must take charge of the order, the members will follow you, I have been assured of this, call a meeting for this weekend at Potter Manor” Dumbledore said.
“yes Sir” Harry said looking at his shoes.
“okay Harry I have finished, you may go, is there anything you want to say?” he asked.
“thanks for fawkes” Harry said before walking out of the room.
