Maybe I really don't know much about Unicorn. I thought of something else for the character would have him where special gloves, that when he punches people I couses a mini explosion upon impact.

Since the beetle is known to be somewhat durable and big in size how about Vigon or maybe manipulate the beetle's scientific name which is "Coleoptera" At least kep the first trhee or four letters.
