The best movie in terms of soundtrack was DMC, although "Hoist the Colours" in AWE still has a lasting effect, that part made me sad, and set the tone for the whole movie. It also stated what the Bretheren court did to Calypso in the first court. The first one was just so innocent, nothing to live up to, nobody expecting Sparrow to be funny. But my favorite has to be AWE. The battles in that movie were astounding, although the battles in DMC were truly amazing. The first battle with the Kraken, then the wheel rolling along with Will and Norrington battling, and then the final battle with the Kraken, it is close, but I still like AWE the best.
Well, I voted for the first one, Curse of the Black Pearl...because Johnny was at his best as Jack Sparrow..and I enjoyed the story of him and Will going after Elizabeth and the Black Pearl..and the ghost story and the curse involving Barbossa and his crew of miscreants......I just felt like it embodied the Pirates of the Caribbean the best.......now, I didn't like the corny "no, he's a Pirate" line....but I was happy cuz Jack was happy...reunited with his crew..Mr. Gibbs, Marty, Mr. Cotton and his Parrot and holding the helm of the Black Pearl "now show me that Horizon" and singing "drink up me hearties yo-ho"
My heart wants to go with DMC because of the great stuff that was in there with Jack and Elizabeth.....i loved the "hide the rum".."you smell funny"...."it points to the thing you want most in this world"......"persuade me"...."I could in fact perform a marriage"..."we are very much alike, you and I" ..."one word, love, curiosity"..."one day you won't be able to resist"...."you're going to discover something, that you're a good man"...."you're going to want to know what it tastes like"...."i do want to know what it tastes like"...."this thing does not work, and it definetly doesn't show what you want most in this world"....."every word, everything you said to me was a lie"...."time and tide, love"....."i've had it with rum-soaked, wobbly legged Pirates"...."
"thank you, jack"...."we're not free yet, love"....."it's after you, not us, this is the only way, don't you see"...."I'm not sorry"...."Pirate".......
My heart screams out for DMC...but alas, it was left broken with AWE....
I did not like AWE at all....even though Jack was shirtless..it's not exactly how i wanted him to be shirtless.....I just felt the whole entire movie was disjointed....lots and lots of action.......if I had not read the jr. novelization...or followed every spoiler and script that came across this board and others...i wouldn't have had a clue as to what was going on in this movie...
So, overall....COTBP was the best one.....but DMC is number one in my heart.....but it was spoiled by AWE....
