Imageshack?

Hey guys, lately on the vs. forum as well as the respeck threads, I've been having major issues pulling up a large portion of the imageshack links. Some come up, but the great majority of them fail to work... Is anyone else having these same problems or is it just me? Does anyone know if there's something going on with imageshack?

Imagethrust and Putfile are good

Putfile images as well as photobuckets seem like they have a tendency to expire quick.

Imageshack has given me problems. I use Photobucket and still have every image I downloaded.

never used putfile, hardly use imageshack but photobucket works perfectly (atleast for me)

I have never had such a problem

I've always had problems with Imageshack. A lot of broken links and often I get random stock photos/celeb pics instead of what the link is supposed to be.... it annoying

Imagestation is good also 🙂

I've had trouble with them loading promptly enough. Photobucket has always been fine for me and currently has all the same functionality as Imageshack.

If you read the info on Imageshack it tells you to post your pics as thumbnails wherever possible:

"Yes, ImageShack® does allow embedding full-size images into websites and online auctions. However, in order for ImageShack® to continue providing free image hosting, we ask that you use clickable thumbnails whenever possible."

"Most likely, it is because you copied the URL incorrectly. It could also be that the image has been deleted due to violation of Terms of Service."

TOS:

"ImageShack® reserves the right to remove or replace any uploaded files, and assumes no liability for lost registration links or misplaced file URLs. Changing ImageShack® linking codes is prohibited without prior permission.

The following types of files constitute "abuse" may not be uploaded under any circumstances:

Pornographic files. This includes, but is not limited to, files depicting genitalia, nudity, or sexual situations.
Files that are illegal and/or are in violation of any United States laws.
Files that infringe on the copyrights of any entity excluding the user.
Non-image or non-swf files. This includes archived non-image files.
Files intending to harass or spam, or promote anything for commercial profit. "

It also says that if you upload porn and some other stuff then all your uploaded pics may be deleted.

I use photobucket....

Question, does photobucket gives the user a option of using small thumbnails instead of links?
