em, backfire. you've previously said "mario sunshine is the best game on gamecube, bar none."

tex; yeah I'm fiddling a bit round in chozo ruins. got my morph ball and charge beam back.
trying to find my way around this massive poisonous tree at the moment

EZ
😖leep:zzzzzz

yeah, mario was the best till zelda came out. i just never played through all of it. its ok for mario to lack a story though because of the varied gameplay. its not just shooting and scanning things.

there's one thing I want to know here though. you say you're not THAT fond of Metroid Prime; OK with me. then you're saying its by far not one of the best games; not OK with me. its ok not to like the game because you don't like the style of a game; but I _sincerely_ hope you recognise the Metroid series for what it is; one of the finest, always-high-quality-games and innovative series to ever grace the gaming world. the metroid series is always doing something new, always evolving, revolutionizing the gaming world. Prime, like Super Metroid (metroid 3) before it, does something completely new and blows away the standard perceptions of how videogames can be. I'm in utter awe of the magnitude, the detail, the work that must've gone into Metroid Prime, and It _has been 4 years after all; its worked on since 1999. you don't agree; fine, but for me its the most fun I've ever had with a videogame. it blows my mind.

"Videogames, regardless of if what system they are for, just aren't supposed to look this detailed, be this large in scope and this fun to play all at the same time; it's like the best title from six years in the future fell through a time warp."

yes, you misunderstood, im well aware of the greatness of the metroid series, and i do wish i could get into those games because i know they are great experiences. and yes, metroid prime is a damn good game, the detail is amazing as are the graphics and sound. but i do not think it is the best game ever. i prefer more cinematic games with story lines, and character development. ala final fantasy, chrono trigger, metal gear, ect. oh and nice quotes of egm by the way.

and actually, when im done with zelda, i plan on starting metroid over once again and trying it once more.

yeah it was a nice quote, they've been in the game for a while and they, while I far from agree with all they're saying, know how to analyze games.

and yeah, that does make me understand clearer what you're saying. i have no problems with that

yes, glad the misunderstanding is over. now mah, when are you getting zelda?

yeah...thats the thing. well it arrives here in europe in the middle of May, and I've already had it pre-ordered for some weeks; to get the bonus deal with Free OoT Master Quest of course. looking forward to it like a madman, but I have no problem with it being over a month 'till since I've got Metroid Prime to play.

so one thing I'm wondering; how's the sailing?

its...different. thats for sure, it will definately take getting used to. but what you can do in the boat is great. you can fish or race or do many little sidequests.

yeah, sounds..interesting at least. and there's small islands with sidequests you can bump into and stuff right?

yeah. its a great game. i love it.

Tingle really comes in handy sailing, he can find treasure, I force my brother to be Tingle, he gets mad cause Tingle looks and sounds gay😂

haha, yeah he does, i dont have a gameboy advance though so oh well.

so he's a fairy in every way

😂

Its going to hard for you to beat Zelda 100% BF, cause lots of stuff can only be found and reached with Tingle.

that sucks. you have to use him to beat the game?

nono, not at all. even though I havent got the game, from what I've read he just makes some things easier to find, like treasures, and maybe there's one or two items he can get you. but you do not need him for anything

That not what it says in the little Tingle pamphlet that came with the game.

Maybe I read it wrong...

well its possible you can get special things with him, that you couldnt get without; thus getting 100% everything in the game. but it's for sure that you can finish the game without GBA
