there's one thing I want to know here though. you say you're not THAT fond of Metroid Prime; OK with me. then you're saying its by far not one of the best games; not OK with me. its ok not to like the game because you don't like the style of a game; but I _sincerely_ hope you recognise the Metroid series for what it is; one of the finest, always-high-quality-games and innovative series to ever grace the gaming world. the metroid series is always doing something new, always evolving, revolutionizing the gaming world. Prime, like Super Metroid (metroid 3) before it, does something completely new and blows away the standard perceptions of how videogames can be. I'm in utter awe of the magnitude, the detail, the work that must've gone into Metroid Prime, and It _has been 4 years after all; its worked on since 1999. you don't agree; fine, but for me its the most fun I've ever had with a videogame. it blows my mind.
"Videogames, regardless of if what system they are for, just aren't supposed to look this detailed, be this large in scope and this fun to play all at the same time; it's like the best title from six years in the future fell through a time warp."
yes, you misunderstood, im well aware of the greatness of the metroid series, and i do wish i could get into those games because i know they are great experiences. and yes, metroid prime is a damn good game, the detail is amazing as are the graphics and sound. but i do not think it is the best game ever. i prefer more cinematic games with story lines, and character development. ala final fantasy, chrono trigger, metal gear, ect. oh and nice quotes of egm by the way.
yeah...thats the thing. well it arrives here in europe in the middle of May, and I've already had it pre-ordered for some weeks; to get the bonus deal with Free OoT Master Quest of course. looking forward to it like a madman, but I have no problem with it being over a month 'till since I've got Metroid Prime to play.
so one thing I'm wondering; how's the sailing?
