Black Hawk Down (OOC/Discussion)

Black Hawk Down

It will all start off before the attack on Mogadishu and will be about the Army Rangers, and Delta Force planning to go on the mission. This will be so you can make your character more realistic and have a "bond" with the other members of your unit. This will continue untill the order is given to make the assault on Mogadishu. Be creative with your character too, make them from all over and from different military divisions if you please. You can also be the Somolian militia but I can't gaurantee if you will survive. Please also use American weapons when you start off. I won't mind if you use other weapons that you find once you hit the ground just keep it accurate by having military standard in the beginning. Also stick with your unit, I can easily understand getting cut off from your squad but no "Bob ran ahead of his unit and got lost." It kinda takes away from the illusion of trained military.

You are all at the base and awaiting your next orders from Gen. Garrison and Col. Aresdale. This is kind of building stress and exitment on the other soldiers. You will be waiting for the code word "Irene" this will signal your attack on the capital of Somolia, Mogadishu. It will be a routine mission only lasting thirty minutes but when militia down two of your choppers it turns into an eighteen hour battle for your life.

Rules.
1-No God-moding
2-No Gung-Ho killing ten people at once. you are lucky to get one
3-Stick with your team please
4-No foul language or fighting either
5-^I can understand that these are grown men so please keep swearing to a minimum.
6-Use American weaponry upon entry
7-No RPG's they were not used by Americans during the battle.
8-Try to go along with how this actually went down
9-Make your character diverse please. Don't just whip him up in ten seconds.
10-Try and enjoy yourselves

Also you can be the militia or UN troops.
Even pilots if you want.

Randy Shugart, Gary Gordan, and Aidid are off limits sorry.

History: Book had risen through the ranks of the army quickly and before he knew it he had become a sergeant and placed in charge of his own unit. Though he still had to take orders from Colonel Aresdale he felt that he had the power. When he heard about Codename: Irene he immediately signed his unit up to go. Now he had to wait at base for the code word to set off to Mogadishu.

History: Gaven has always been into the army he went to a military highschool and collage instead of regular ones because he wanted to be in the army and he loved guns. He first became squad leader his sophomore year in highschool at his school MMA and then was second in command at his collage until his squad leader graduated after his freshmen year. Gaven isnt really a mean person he just gets the job done and wants his squad to listen to him. Now he is waiting for his mission but isn't going to have a squad to command because he is in a squad with Jacobe E. Book who is his friend but higher in rank.

After such an experience he grew up in ranks fast, and made up the elite of the Russian army. Later he was sent from Russia to help the American army with it's operation.
