The Spawn animated series wasn't bad. It could have been just a little better.
The HBO series was actually pretty good.
While it wasn't quite on par with the storyline of Todd McFarlane's early Spawn issues, it was dark, violent, and gritty. The series was also infinitley better than the horrible live action movie.
Also, in my opinion, David Keith has an amazing voice. He gave a good performance as Spawn/Al Simmons.
(I'm a comic collector, BTW.)
