What happen to Anamarie from Pirates one?

Was watching the movie with my husband to be.(big fan of pirates as you can see from the picture under my name)and I Noted that the girl pirate that was with the crew did not show up in the other movies at all.
What happen to her?The others are in the other movie and what was the point on having her in the movie anyway?

I think, Anna Maria was on the Black Pearl at the end of pirates 1.

So I think she was one of the people, whoes bones were used to build the bone cages... 😈

I don't know what happened to Anamarie 😉. But I know that Ana Maria took off with the ship Jack promised to her.

Because that's not true. She added some comic relief to CotBP (Jack stole her ship) and she was also dramatic foil ("Let's give 'em her!" *meaningful look between Will and Liz* "The medallion!" etc.)

So it wasn't completely pointless to have her.

Myself, I like to think she's sipping a pina colada and being served by shirtless, attractive cabana boys somewhere in the Caribbean during movie 3.
