What he said!
Funkylicious,
specially on "take the power back"!

i think i have to add Rex Brown to my list, the bassist from Pantera. Its not that hes spectacular or anything, like solo's and stuff, its more that he keeps the rhythm well, his basslines are complimenting to the songs, and that he can keep up with dimebag.

and Michael lepond from Symphony X, hes just awesome

Tyson Ritter - The All-American Rejects
David Desrosiers- Simple Plan

they might not be the best or greatest but they're my favourite 😊

Duff McKagan- he isn`t the best, but he`s pretty damn good!! He`s so awesome. He keeps the beat and he has a really good relationship with Matt Sorum when it comes to bass-drums.I really, really, really like him

Flea. Who else? He's in the band Red Hot Chili Peppers for those of you who don't know.

Favorite is probably Cliff Burton, though Justin Chancellor gives him a good run for his money.

I would also like to mention Jean Baudin, bassist for Nuclear Rabbit. The man can run that 9-string masterfully.

Flea (RCHP)
Spike (Tapete Wechseln)

*Jim Rodford (The KinKs)
*John Decon (Queen)
*Toney Butler (Big Country)
*John McVie (Fleetwood Mac)
*Anders Herrlin (Roxette)

Matt Freeman (Operatioin Ivy, Rancid and many more)
especially his solo on Maxwell Murder

Mark Hoppus
i know he isn't the most talented but i like him the best

Favorite Bassists?
Fat Mike! (NOFX)
Mike Dirnt (Green Day)
Mark Hoppus (blink 182)
Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers)

Marcus Millar
Victor wooten (the all around absolute best)
Jaco
Flea

I know you all will go crazy, but I think Les Claypol sucks ass.

Jaco Pastorius all the way.

Yeah.Jaco was the first. If it wasn't for him none of these bass players would be what they are.I can't belive I forgot to put James Jammerson on my list.He was Jaco before their was Jaco.

In the Motown era he was the man. Then we had Jaco.

Marcus Millar (imo) puts the most feeling into his music.
Wooten is the best on a technical level. He can play like anyone you name.Flea is just brillant at playing with a band.

Trevor Dunn is my favourite, closely followed by Geddy Lee and Justin Chancellor.

James Jamerson I think is just to simple of a bass player he does a lot of the same stuff, I think he's an amazing motown bassist and he made the funk bro's but for anything else, I just don't think he'd do as good, I for got to add Flea he's up with Matt.

i like the famous quote about Jaco: "There were bassists before Jaco, and bassists after Jaco." He just came in and revolutionized everything.
