Look at the scans I provided before spouting such bullshit. Thanos was getting his ass owned by the Runner before the Runner gave him a chance to explain himself. Thanos knew he didn't have a chance without using the time gem (something he doesn't have here). He tried using his own power (eye beams), but Runner dodged it and finished off the last remaining piece of his chair.
So... how again is Thanos going to beat the Runner? He isn't going to have a chance to even BREATHE in this fight, let alone think about how to beat the Runner.

Are you really too stupid to realize that if the Runner wanted Thanos dead, or knocked out, he could've easily done so?

It was part of the IG prologue. Did you read all comics concerning the IG?
