Not true at all. He was the one behind all the events of the game, and was manipulating Baby Bowser, who was the last boss I think.

Baby Bowser was the main villain in that game, and Kamek was just his caretaker that helped him in battle by using his/her magic.

By the way, baby Bowser doesn't kill Kamek.

He just stomps and kicks him/her out the way.

Oh it has to be like that, Kamek has to appear with Bowser, never on his own, perhaps Baby Bowser is kidnapped or something, so he teams up with the Yoshi's, wait how can Bowser live on yoshi's island, but then come from Darkland?
