Captain Berry beards ship enters the arena, and he spills some of the strange goop onto the whale, which turns it dark and it grows big.

"Strange goop"?

Like Sunshine, it could be instead of, the spooked boo's that posses the Yoshi's, the goop acts the same, but it could also turn things dark, as well as changing the island.

...Okay.

The galactic guys infect the Yoshi's, and the island further in the story.

I might have asked this before, but the "galactic guys" are just shy guys, right?

Capt. BB could have a the Ballistic blooper as his personal pet, like the Kracken of legend.

I guess that could work.

I just want it to happen.

With a space pirate villain.

As long as it's a great storyline with a great cast of characters, I'll be satisfied.
