Well traditional Mario games have 8, it would be good to make it a whole 10, with the last world being the final temple area/final boss arena.

Why not, he becomes a dry bones like pirate, when the dark yoshi uses some of his power to bring him back, it happened to Bowser.

The captain, after being beaten as the sub boss of world 9, his dry bones like version is the boss of world 9.

Like Bowser in NSMB, boss of world 1, then he dies, falls in lava becomes a dry bones, gets killed again then Jr. brings him back.

The Captain doesn't need to be brought back.

He should stay defeated.

How big will the captain be?

Well I mean he would technically be the same, just an undead version of himself, as for size he should either be comically short, or quite big, bigger then Yoshi.

He should be bigger than Yoshi.
