Kitana vs Ayane
The Female Tengu vs the Princess of Edenia.
Kitana is on vacation from her duties as Princess of Edenia at a secluded hot springs resort (highly reccomended by Liu and Johnny) in the mountains of Japan.
That vacation is somewhat wrecked when several Hajinmon ninja, who are looking for Kasumi, mistaken her as the renegade kunoichi (due to the fact that she is wearing blue).
As the Hajinmon ninja realize their screw-up, Kitana strikes. The squad of five Hajinmon ninja are easily defeated by the fan-wielding Edenian princess...wearing a towel, among other things.
Kitana picks up one of the still-conscious ninja and threatens him with one of her fans.
"Who sent you?" Kitana demanded. "Are you from Kahn's forces?"
"No! We're looking for a runaway shinobi!" the ninja manages to get out. "We thought you were her!"
"Let him go."
Kitana turns to the newcomer. It's Ayane. She had been watching the battle and has decided that enough is enough.
"Are these your men?" Kitana asked, not releasing her hold on the ninja. "Why are they attacking me?"
"I said let him go," Ayane repeated.
Kitana does more than that. She tosses him towards Ayane, which gives her enough time to use her tricks to don her fighting uniform (i.e., her Shaolin Monks uniform, no mask).
Ayane introduces herself. "I am Ayane of the Mugen Tenshin clan's Hajinmon sect. Who the hell are you?"
Kitana pulls out a fan and fans herself. "I am Kitana, heiress to the throne of Edenia. I've seen better Mugen Tenshin ninja."
This catches the lilac-haired kunoichi off guard. "What?"
"I've witnessed the clan's creation some 400 years ago," Kitana replies as she closes her fan. "Oh, I've had a long lifetime, little one. Long enough to visit Earth on occasion. Long enough to see what your beloved clan is capable of."
"You're full of shit," Ayane replies as she attacks.
The battle is on.
Little does Ayane know that her opponent has quite the checkered past. Aside the fact that she is over 10,000 years old, Kitana was Shao Kahn's one-time stepdaughter and assassin.
