Well, he did keep the Clones as his army and he shut dawn all the droids, if droids are better, why didn't he keep them and got rid of Clones.

Sidious wasn't really an invention of the PT, he was in the OT, just not named as so. We saw him using the dark side of the force and he was definately Vader's master.
