BP is more of a trust issue, and it was mostly with stark prior to this world tour/civil war thing. he was widely admired and was friends with many of the top tier avengers prior to hudlin's series.
Not really, most of the avengers have always been weary of him after they found out he joined to spy on them.

But you are right, it mostly is an trust issue.
definitely one of my favorite BP moments. i tried making a sig out of the "good morning, t'challa" shot once. the issue where iron man and t'challa bust out of some government research base, having stolen a sample of some virus or whatever, and iron man makes t'challa hand it over to him. then, as tony flies away, t'challa pulls out another vile and says "predictable." that's another good one.
still though, BP's widely regarded as one of the best and most trustworthy scientific minds on the planet, he has long-standing friendships with cap, namor, several other avengers and the fantastic four, and he's generally looked to as one of the best in the biz by those in the biz. he's just good at pushing some people's hot buttons.
