Spectacular Spiderman: New Animated TV Show

Why is the animation so pathetic? Who thought it was a good idea to make Spidermans character design resemble the size of a small child and havent we had enough superhero's in highschool? ****ING AWFUL

So........any improvements you want to suggest then....or are you good now? ermm

Agreed. I like the animation the way it is. Realistic animation is cool, but sometimes you want that animation that doesn't look too realistic. The animation is perfect as is.

I don't see why people complain about Spidey being a teen when it's mainly what Stan Lee wanted the comics to be about. 😕 He's said it's supposed to be about a teen with superpowers, Spidey isn't really supposed to be an adult so the show is best as is.

I know he is fifteen, but it doesnt make his infantile size any easier to stomach.

I'm talking about the damn villains....not the symbiote, and as for Eddie finding out that's just stupid, i am sure any guy who wakes up at a tower will automatically know to go half way across town and choose the right block of concrete to find the alien again. haermm

Your are commenting on the art style of the show and not the animation.

Victor Cook, the director of the show, said this:

"I wanted an action show with classic squash and stretch. I knew the staging, acting and action was going to be cinematic, but I also wanted it to be fun. While it's not going to be "cartoony", I didn't want realistic stiff mannequins walking around. Sometimes the acting is very live action and naturalistic and other times a bit broad. It has been very satisfying being able to determine the look and filmmaking style of this series. Fortunately, all involved on this project were on the same page on wanting to have a fresh visual approach. We all wanted a stylized, sleek animatable look with strong silhouettes. Because the show centered on Peter's high school years, I also wanted the designs to be fun. The man on the street in the background should be as interesting to look at as Spider-Man or our villains. Sean "Cheeks" Galloway was the concept designer on Hellboy Blood and Iron, which I directed. His concepts had an appealing simplified look that I felt would be perfect for Spider-Man. After Sean did some development art on Spider-Man, we all agreed to bring him on the show. I also wanted the background style to be simplified with strong silhouettes. The backgrounds will have architectural touches and at the same time a lack of detail. We are keeping lines as part of our final painted look. This also allows for three-dimensional camera moves and animating backgrounds to match the look of the rest of our non-moving backgrounds. The paintings are somewhat graphic without that airbrushed look."
