And I am sure it is a bad experience. The question at hand is whether societies treatment or the state of the mind of the victim worsens it and whether or not there is a reason for that.

maybe they never get over the trauma and the fear. I think it's all in their minds, because some victims pull through. But, i don't really blame them. It must've been that traumatic for them.
