Green Lantern Trailer Script

Heres my version.

*Side shot of fighter plane (AV-8B), Flying steadily in the skies, it’s very cloudy but not excessively. *

Project Overseer Tom : * Tinny* How’s everything going up their Jordan ?

*Switches scenes back to the hustle and bustle of ‘Control’ , think Nasa but slightly smaller, albeit with more paper work littering the desks, POT is standing in front of all the other desks/consoles , eyes intently focused on the ’radar screen’ *

Hal Jordan : Fine and dandy Tom, this bird is one hell of a smooth ride, though *static crackle* there seems to be a bit of *static crackle* -munication problems.

Tom : Nothing the tech boy’s can’t fix eh ? Now let’s get you down here or Carol will skin me alive

Hal : Affirmative Tom…..wait , what th- *static crackle* I thought - *Static Crackle* Is anyone recordi- *SC* My god ; it’s beautiful….

Tom : *Confused, curious voice* What is it ? What can you see Hal

*Warning alarms suddenly go off , everything goes Red, obviously a serious fault*

Hal : Cant *SC* -trol her , have t- *SC* -Ced landing , maybe I can hit the *SC* -Cean.

Tom : Jordan ! JORDAN !

*Large Starry Background , the Words ‘In Brightest Day’ appear , lime green*

*We see a shot of Hal looking turning his hand and wrist, staring intently at the brightly glowing ring , he is surrounded by flaming wreckage , some obviously from his plane others…..of more ‘alien’ origin.

Abin Sur : *Croaky-death-rattle voice* U-u-use the r-r-r-ring…Hal Jor-dan of earth…..

*Large Starry Background ‘In Blackest Night ‘ appears lime green *

* Oa is shown , green energy radiating from the (blatantly visible) power battery*

Ganthets voice : Oa , the centre of the universe, home of the sum total of all willpower within creation….

*we then get a close up/ 3-second ‘quick shot’ of the Guardians floating in a sage esq. Council*

Ganthets voice : ….all is not well.

*Large Starry Background ‘No Evil Shall Escape My Sight‘ appears lime green *

*Sinestro floats downward, sneering at Hal , Hal is visibly angered . Both men floating in the middle of the sky in identical GL uniforms. *

Sinestro : I am the Green Lantern of Sector 1417 , I have been ordered by the Guardians to…..train an inferior humanoid such as yourself

Hal : *hacked off* Who are you calling ‘inferior’ !

Sinestro : My species has evolved to such a degree where our weaponry can devastate stars themselves ! Whereas you apes are still clinging on to basic chemical reactions.

Hal : Is that how you rate a culture ? On it’s weaponry !

Sinestro : *slightly shocked* Why , who wouldn’t ?

*Large Starry Background ‘Let all those who worship evils might‘ appears lime green *

* A large scene with thousands of aliens is shown, each bowing/praying ect to a large statue of what appears to be Parallax*

*We then move to close up of a pissed off and bloodied Hal , righteous fury on his face, his ring is glowing like a star now, green crackles of energy sparking off every now and then*

Hal : * Hushed yet angry tone* Beware my power….

*Thousands of wrists/arms, tentacles and other alien appendages suddenly shoot up. The only thing they all have in common is the glowing green ring*

Chorus of voices : GREEN LANTERNS LIGHT !

*Large Starry Background ‘The Green Lantern‘ appears lime green followed by the words ‘Coming Soon‘ *

Best thing about this, is you can set up a Sinestro Corp sequel at the end. So is it just Hal, or will Kyle show up? And will Parallax actually be here, or is that just a cameo?

I'd personally say it's a cameo, though he could be involved if necessary.

No, I wrote this for fun , I dont have the budget nor cg skills to make this. If someone WOULD use it i'd be honored. I'd just like my name to be mentioned is all...

Who they gonna get to play Sinestro? They gonna get some guy and shove mad amounts of bright red make-up on him. I dare them to put Sinestro in this film.

If they ever did make a green lantern film i wouldn't like to see stupid things like huge baseball bats knocking away meteorites or huge gloves catching planes. If things like that were done it would be writing of as a kids film, potentially a green lantern film could be a huge sci-fi franchise if done right.

You could prbably have a few things like that just to show how Hal adapts to a ring , while the veterans 'Tsk tsk' at the inneficency.

The description about how each GL personally affected and used his ring in GL: Rebirth was exquisite. I'd vote for focusing on usage of the rings in line with that description.

ATTENTION :

A few friends of mine looked over several scripts of mine (including this one) and have decided to chip in and trump up £1000 to see how well I could do.

Thus (after some deliberation between doing a heroes style film and a Noir one like a previous one of mine) I will (hopefully) be doing an adaption of the Pulp Noir Hero The Shadow

Any information on the character will be helpful , for currently I have only his wiki article.
