Ryu Hayabusa vs Dante, Son of Sparda

Ryu from Ninja Gaiden vs Dante from DMC3. Only default styles allowed for Dante (therefore no Quicksilver or Doppelganger as this would make things too easy for him), but both have maxed out powers and upgrades, weapons and levels, etc.

You can call Ryu a defensive powerhouse, but he has great offensive attacks, and quite a free form combo system once you start G–cancelling a lot of his attack strings. He has brilliant weapons and some nifty Ninpo attacks.

Dante has superb weapons, extreme speed, and shockingly huge amount of ærial raves and free form combos available to him. Each style makes him play extremely differently and use different weapons and tactics.

Who would best the other in a Boss fight between the two?

Hey since I'm not a big DMC guy I have a question, is anyone in DMC a world butster?

i guess this is a gameplay battle.

dante's a defensive powerhouse too, if you ever watched a royal guard player. rg can block anything in the game. dante can avoid anything with trickster, and he's got all his gunslinger/swordmaster combos. he can even beef himself up with dt. so dante wins most of the time. dante's guns>ryu's bow. and the electric guitar weapon rules.

both should be able to adapt to each other's bosses easily, assuming it's gameplay again.

Trickster&Royal Guard styles rule.

I'm not an expert in Royal Guard style, but a friend of mine is. It's the way to block anything- even enviromental damage. "Ultimate Block" in Royal Guard even converts absorbed damage into extra health for Dante.

Not to mention other stuff.

Dante wins.

Dante eats swords for breakfast.

That sums it up.

It will be a fight to behold, and Dante will be impressed with Hayabusa...but the modern Super Ninja will fail to put Sparda's son down.

I thought that pretty much, too. But I’ve watched some truly astounding NG gameplay videos and I’d definitely put him up there along with Dante. Previously I’d considered him on a par with the Prince of Persia on account of his innate human background but no… He would slaughter the Prince.

Electric guitar? Nevan. And she decimates groups of enemies. I don’t have the RG timing down that brilliantly, and I don’t know anyone who does, but I’ve watched numerous expert vids and seen Pokey86 kill the Hell Vanguard when it still had ½ a lifebar yet but doing a Just Release timed with a T–Flux (Devil Trigger explosion).

I would prefer a gameplay battle because characters in cutscenes have powers you never get in gameplay. For example, Dante moves faster than anything else in DMC3, but in the opening FMV he and his brother Vergil move so fast they cut raindrops, and only get wet when they lock swords!

A Dante & Hayabusa team up would be awesome. In fact I think they'd be pretty much unstoppable. Hayabusa is a fearsome offensive powerhouse, but the problem here is Dante's insane durability. And adding to his durability are his other special abilities.

Never the less I feel like having these 2 badasses teamup in a gauntlet...so watch out!

That'd be nice. It would be cool if Ryu turned evil and transformed into the Devil Incarnate...imagine Ryu wielding the Dark Dragon Blade and taking off his head gear. Basically, it would be as if seeing Hayabusa in his alternate DOA3 booster costume changing into the D.I.

Combine that with Dante's Devil Trigger. Damn...

Perhaps they could team up, join as business partners, and form an unstoppable duo of Sword–&–Devil Hunters…

Of course Dante owns him. How can Ryu stop the Devil child?!

Instead of trying to slice eachother in 2. They should be working together. THEY WOULD BE UNSTOPPABLE!!!!!!!
