"Zombie Survival: 'Las Vegas'

Important Information:

The year is 2010. There has no been major advances in anything, only minor civilian electronics such as the television and the phone. There are no flying cars, no super lasers, no giant robots or robots of any kind. This is the world we are living in now, only years from now. The day I’d like the characters to start on is August 15, 2010. Where many of us are going to meet is at a fictional resort and casino in Las Vegas, The Golden Phoenix. You do not have to come here, but if you want to interact with other player’s and survive, you will come here. =D This is taking place in America as well, so make your character in some state here, or you would be pointlessly posting. REMEMBER! THIS IS REALISTIC! DAY AND NIGHT! AMMO! FOOD! YOU CAN’T WEAR TONS OF ARMOR AND EXPECT TO KEEP UP WITH US! ALSO CIVILIANS CANNOT BRING WEAPONS UNLESS THEY HAVE A REASON!! CERTAIN GUNS CANNOT BE BROUGHT AS WELL!! Example: If you’re here for a gun show and your gun is going to be on display, there is your reason. Personally…I do not know anybody that carries an AK47, AT4, M16 plus five pistols in their car…REALISM!! BTW THIS IS A ZOMBIE SURVIVAL! NOT KILLING SPREE!

THE INFECTION BEGINS ON AUGUST 17, 2010 AT 9:03 PM IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA! (So if you arrive and rent a room on the 15th, you have one extra day to have fun and do stuff in the city before the infection starts!)

Zombies:

When the outbreak occurs, here is some information about the zombies that can help you visualize. Zombies are almost exactly human-like. They see, smell, walk, run, and hear – If you cut out their eyes, they cannot see, and etc. On the other hand, they DO NOT use tactics, have super strength or use their hands. Meaning they cannot use weapons, open doors, move barricades, or steal your gun. They CAN use their hands only to swipe at you and grab at you. They occasionally roam alone, but are often seen in groups of 10-15. If you fire a bullet, they will hear, and come, so fighting them isn’t always a good idea. Also!!! Zombie’s bites and scratches are infectious! That does not mean you can live forever if you wear entire body covering armor! You still would get surrounded and pulled down!

Posting:

If your not gunna post at a decent rate, then don’t post at all. Since we will be usually in a group, posting by all is needed. BAD Example: “mrsalieri890 fired his 9mm at the zombies. There were too many. He told the group to run. Mrsalieri890 found shelter and closed the door behind him.” NAY NAY! This is where posting by all is needed; it is in order to make a move. Not only did mrsalieri890 make a move ahead of time, he basically teleported his teammates with him by closing the door. This is almost like chess with many people, everyone must move before continuing!! CORRECT Example: “…mrsalieri890 told the group to run.” Now you wait for a reply. I hope you all get it.

August 15, 2010. 2 days before infection. 4:00 AM.

Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep…Jordan’s arm moved from under the covers and unplugged the alarm clock. Another day at work. Jordan had to be at work for the 10 million dollar prize contest his casino was hosting. It was all over the radio and television, to be in the contest, you had to rent a room in the resort, and if your room was the one of the called out numbers, you were a finalist. He slowly rose from his bed and made his way through his normal routine. Shower, shave, teeth, coffee then off to work! But instead of making his coffee, he changed it up for once. Jordan wanted the stereotypical officer breakfast. After he got into his security guard uniform, he took his father’s, now his, blue and white 1968 Chevrolet Camaro to Dunkin’ Donuts. When Jordan arrived, he bought himself some coffee and five dozens of all-types of donuts for him and his security guard co-workers. He then continued his ride to work. When he arrived at The Golden Phoenix, he checked the time again. 5:07 AM. He quickly grabbed the bag of donuts and his coffee and made his way inside the building. He greeted the front desk guard and dropped off a box of donuts.

“Hey thanks Jordan!” he excitedly said as his hands went into the box. Jordan nodded and kept moving.
“Here you go guys,” Jordan told his friends when he entered the locker room.
“Donuts! Way to go man. By the way, you have to relieve Chris from the front desk, today is your shift at the front desk,” said Sam, another guard.
“Damn…” thought Jordan, he hated the front desk; he hated always having to meet all types of strange people to give them their room keys. “Oh okay, I’ll go take over,” Jordan replied and left the locker room.
“Chris. Get out. My shift,” Jordan told Chris.
“Oh okay, what’s my shift now?” he asked.
“I’m not sure, go ask Bill.”

Bill was the hotel manager. He would be the one to host the grand prize on August 17. Truthfully, Jordan never liked Bill; he was always mean and selfish to all the co-workers. Now Jordan sat there, it was 5:36 AM, waiting for more guests.

August 14th 2010. Three days before the infection.
It was hot outside. It was always hot outside. Jake walked down the streets of Reno his brother Derek, looking. He was not sure what they was looking for. His eyes wondered everywere. An apartment complex, a bank, a news stand. Jake stopped infront of the news stand, and stared into the papers. The people in the magazines stared back. Never blinking. Jake started to cough, and the owner glared at him.
"If your not going to buy anything, Get the hell away," His eyes were almost as cold as it was outside. Jake looked at the man, and back to the magazines. He walked up the news stand owner, and grinned. Jake pulled out a small black .357 magnum, and held it infront of his face. The owner stared down the barrel of the pistol.The owner started to sweat, and held out a handfull of dollar bills. He grabbed it, and shoved it into his coat pocket. He pulled back the hammer of the pistol, but his brother grabbed his arm and pulled it down. The stand owner yelled for help. Jake looked to see an officer holding a 9mm standard issued pistol. He arms were trembling, so Jake assumed he was a rookie. Jake suddenly took off, his brother Derek trailed behind him. They found themselves hiding in a car park. He was stunned about what he had found. A 1970 dodge charger, with a hemi, and a black metallic paint job. He picked the lock on the door and unlocked the door for his brother. He opened the area below the steering wheel, and cut a blue wire. He carefully attached it to the yellow wire. The car roared, and he pulled out of the parking lot, and headed for Vegas to spend his newly aquired money. The car broke 100 MPH, in the direction of Vegas. Jake turned up the radio. A commericial started to play.

"The Phoenix Hotel is giving out a Grand Prize of 10 million dollars to one of its lucky guests-" Jake turned off the radio. That was all he needed to hear. A day later, the car reached the outskirts of Vegas. He pulled up the to the Phoenix hotel. The time was about 6 A.M. Derek looked under his seat. A black laptop was underneath his seat. . Jake grabbed the laptop, and connected it to the Phoenix's mainframe. Deep inside the incrypted data, Jake found 8 numbers. The winning room numbers,032, 126, 244, 320, 444, 512, 608, 700, 813, 940, 1022, 1120, 1201, 1333, 1406, 1507. Jake grinned it was his lucky day.

Sorry, i forgot to put 15 numbers instead of 8. i had to change it recently since more people wanted to play. Sorry.

Jake slowly parked his charger into a parking place. He stepped out of his car, along with Derek. A hot gust of wind blew in Jake's hair.

"I've got a bad feeling about this," Derek said, eying the hotel.
"You've got your gun right?" Jake asked looking at Derek's backpack.
"Always do," He responded, a cocky look on his face. Jake grabbed the laptop's bag, and tossed it over his shoulder. They headed for the hotel entrance. As they opened the doors, cool air blew in his face. They walked up to the desk.

"One room, and make sure it has 2 single beds," Jake said.

[By the way, I weight 189 lbs, I accidently put 159]

Jordan put down his newspaper and brought down his feet from the counter. There stood two rough looking men. Another pair of wackos wanting to stay at the resort.

"Alright. It cost 90 dollars a night here, with that you can visit the Casino back there anytime you want," pointing to a door behind the two men, "How long you going to stay and what are you paying with? Credit card..cash..?"

"Cash," Jake said while grabbing the money out of his pocket. " We'll be staying for 4 days." He counted 360 dollars, and left a 2 dollar tip." There you go my good man."

Jordan handed them room key 525.
"You will be staying in room 525. It's 5th floor. Have a nice stay at The Golden Phoenix, Hotel and Resort." said Jordan with a smile. He watched as the two men grabbed the key and made their way to the elevator.

"Strange pair eh? I mean who carries that much in their pockets?" asked Sam approaching him from behind and sitting down beside Jordan.
"Does it really matter? It's Las Vegas." Jordan replied.
"You know Jordan, if you don't like Las Vegas's tourists, why do you work here?"
"Because this is the only place my wife will never visit," Jordan said, lifting up the newspaper to read the main article.

Additional Information: Jacob and Ben had been preparing for an out break their hole lives but when Jacob went off into the military they decided to disbelieve in the undead like everyone had told them to. They were going to be in for a big surprise when they arrived in their home.

Reason for being in Laz Vegas: When they had been kids they had planned to buy an apartment together for two reasons. One, they knew that the other wasn't gay and second it would be easier for them both to have a little extra cash.

August 15, 2010. 2 days before infection. 12:37 P.M.
Jacob awoke in his bed with a cold sweat, as he just lay there wondering why he had woken up like he did the memory popped into his mind that he just slept all the way through his friend's wedding. "I'm boned.." He sat up on the side of the bed and grabbed a shirt from off the floor. Raising it to his nose he sniffed the shirt and satisfied that it was for the most part clean he slipped it on and walked into the kitchen. As he walked through the living room his room-mate Ben was playing an old favorite of the two, Dead Rising. Book watched as Ben played for a second before he pointed. "There's one behind you to the right." Ben quickly made the character turn and kill the oncoming zombie. "Thanks mate." Jacob walked off into the kitchen and reached up into the cabinet finding a packet of Ramen. Grabbing a bowl from the counter that had recently been washed he crushed up the ramen and filled the bowl with milk and ate it like cereal. "I'm heading out to one of the store, I'll be back in a few." Jacob then proceeded to exit the room and head for the door leading to the outside world. "Get me something to drink, will you mate." He laughed and opened the door and left. "Sure thing bro." He emerged into the front yard of the apartment and got into his car and he then set off towards the store.

10:23 A.M.
Cy and Cobby Thyssen made their way into the lobby of the Golden Phoenix.
Being in Las Vegas for the Martial Arts trade show and Exposition, both of their hands were full and Cy was dragging a large wheeled chest.

"Nice place Pop" cobby said admiring the interior "Can i check out the pool "'

"We have a lot of work to do before the show son. We have to go to the Expo center and sign in for our booth and start setting up the displays" Cy replied concerned with business matters

"We have 2 days before the show Pop and we have been driving for 4 days straight. Come on lets have some fun"

Cy relented " Ok we will take a break today. lets get checked in."

Jordan put down the newspaper again and looked up. A man and what seemed to be his son carried many items into the lobby of The Golden Phoenix.

"Hello sir, how many I help you? And do you need help with your luggage?" Jordan asked the man, "It is 90 dollars a night, but full access to everything the resort and casino has to offer."

Sam chuckled at how different Jordan acted with the guests, and he floated off his chair to turn on the mini TV on the counter.

"We are here at the Gizon apartment complex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sergeant Daniels can you tell us what happened here?" asked the reporter.
"Well it seems as though the boy's mother, attacked the son, scratching him several times and biting him once in the neck," the officer told the reporter.
"What do you think caused this?"
"We are not sure now, but we took the boy to a nearby hospital, where he is being treated by doctors and will be placed under intense care."
"Thank you Sergeant Daniels. Neighbors of the victim said that the mother was always kind, caring and would never hurt anybody. This incident is tragic to everybody in the complex and is currently under investigation. Now back to you in the news ro-"

Jordan leaned over and turned off the TV.

"Can't you see I'm busy with a guest Sam? Show some respect."
"Well geez, sorry," Sam said as he got up, "I'll be in the casino."

As Jacob drove he passed by "Bushido" Martial arts store. He then thought to himself. "That might the reason why I've been losing business... then again I am teaching military training and that's not something parents want their teenagers to know.. damnit." Snapping back into reality he realized he had swerved into the other lane and quikcly darted back into his. By then he noticed his engine was sputering and about to die. "Not now.." His car made it into the small gas station parking area when it died out on him. He exited the vehicle and went inside. "Screw it, that car isn't worth saving again." He searched the isles for his "food choices."

Cy answered the man at the front desk.

"We will ba staying for 7 days and if it possible we would like a first floor room. We will be lugging all this equipment back out tomorrow"

he passed High School at 19. After working in Home Depo for 2 years he went to the
academy and passed with flying colors. Rand is currently att he gas station.

Rand walks in the gas station with his leg holster on with his .45 USP. An old friend Fritz working at the front desk. " So Rand hows the training ?!" Rand sighed " did it .......but i wont be getting my own squad car yet." Fritz laughed " well no shit " Rand smiled " shut your mouth Mr. Store manager." They was a little bang in the back.

"Rand there was a weird guy that walked in. See what the hells he is doing please." Rand sighed " im off duty but why not" He went back there. The man turned around. He was stuffing stuff in his shrit " Hey get your hands out of jacke slowly" Rand had his gun out, The man did so. Fritz jumped over the counter witha shotgun " GET OUT OF MY STORE ***** !" The guy ran off. Rand looked at Fritz " i could have had him arrested ass !" Fritz laughed " well the gas is on me so get your ass home." Rand put his gun away. " cant under major construction. Make it look nice" He walked by the exit " im ganna stay ata hotel for a week or so."

" see ya pig " Rand flicked him off and drove into the heart of the city. He found a hotel called The Golden Pheonix. " Fansy ?" He parked his car and walked in. He had his bags in the car. He wanted to get them out later. " Hello sir how may i help you ?" Rand sighed. He never asked for a room before. He put on a smile " id like an available room please" She smiled "sertanly " She picked up a key 21 and did typing on her PC " ok there you go and enjoy your stay. The check in time is 10:50 " he smiled " thanks" He put the key in the hole and saw a very nicley set room.

He closed and locked the door and layed on the bed and feel asleep almost emidiatly.
