Odin sure did beat Surtur pretty easily here

I'm pretty sure both Odin and Surter where powerless imo (because Surter at full power is like a billion feat tall)
That was a straight brawl they had.

Yeah, I took it as metaphor, not a literal fight.

That and they're both already dead - and in the 'land of the dead' or whatever.

Also; am I the only one that took it as Odin was in a cyclic battle with surtur or some such? How he said that his wounds would be healed by morning?

I kinda interpreted it as Odin saying that he'd heal by morning, sure, but that the fight between him and Surtur happened daily. As a sort of eternal punishment or...something?

I thought the same thing.

This was interesting seeing Odin again. I wonder will this will lead to especially with the whole Donald Blake thing

He did though, wether that was the real deal or merely a metaphor he still beat Surtur pretty easily 😉

Whomever is doing the art for this issue needs to continue doing so. Much better than the art from the first series of issues.

Also, Odin being responsible for the creation of man was hinted at in Thor v2 #80, the prologue of Ragnarok.

*shrugs*

As another said; Man has like twelve different 'official' origin stories in the Marvel U.

None of 'em really stick or get explored.

Okay so wait a second, where did Odin come from? This is either the third or fourth origin for him.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what Odin said.

Like when the JSA was trapped in Ragnarok, and their deaths and wounds were healed daily for them to keep fighting.

I wouldn't use this as evidence in a versus match.

And I took the "Odin creating man" think as allegory also. I mean, there's a Heaven in the MU that created man (see Ghost Rider), Sise-Neg created man, Zeus claims he created man all the time... so on.

At least now we have a clear answer regarding Thor and the Odinpower.
