I thought more rings didn't mean more power. I thought it just depended on the willpower of the user. Then again I might have no idea what I'm talking about.

Pretty much , though some have theorized that because of the assumption that More Rings = More Power your willpower subconsciously increases thus giving the desired affect.

Or maybe he's stolen some people's minds and is using them to power the other rings. That or he's learned more about the tech than Quardian's or Oan's have and knows another way to use it.

I think a large enough amount of willpower will get more out of multiple rings. Remember Parallax (Hal Jordan) ? He boosted his power by draining other GLs. So, that would tend to favor the More rings = higher power theory.

He didn't increase his power. The more rings he wore, the stronger the influence Parallax had over him which is why he decided to absorb the central battery.

The old power rings had "infinite" power for 24 hours so that worked back then but the new rings have a limited charge so now, more rings should equal more power.

More rings equalled more power during the Emerald Twilight as well, Check out when Sinestro meets Hal, and comments on how since Hal has all those rings, there's no way he can possibly win. So Hal wants to fight him fairly, and drops all but one.

Emerald Twilight was filled with continuity errors like that.

He still showed that wasn't much of a limitation since the ring can grab the lantern instantly and bring it back for him to recharge.

I like the solicitations for the upcoming issues.
One issue talks about Sinestro sending an army at Hal.
Then the next cover has Hal with a ton of Sinestro Corp bling, in homage to the old cover.
Hilarious.
