Geoff, let’s start with the big reveal of Green Lantern #13 - aside from the return of the Lanterns thought to be dead - the last page, showing that we’ve not seen the last of Superboy Prime. To the Guardians, he represents what? A danger that only they know about and thus, can handle?

Yeah – he’s a huge danger, and the Guardians have a perspective on it that nobody else will have that will be revealed down the line, but he’s a massive, massive threat, and the key power player that’s going to play into some stuff that’s coming up as well. And of course, it ties into the whole of 52 and everything else. There are still a lot of major revelations for the DC Universe that are going to happen in Green Lantern, with the Guardians of the Universe already being aware of a lot of things that the readers aren’t – and so are a few other characters, like Cyborg Superman who knows something.

So yeah – Superboy Prime is going to play a role in some upcoming storylines. He’s a dangerous, dangerous guy.

GJ: Yeah. By Hannu specifically. That big rock guy’s one of my favorites. He refuses to rely on his ring because on his planet it’s dishonorable to use a weapon. So he hardly ever uses it. We’ve never even seen him fire it before this. He literally used 90 percent of the ring’s charge [laughs], and no one’s ever done that before. When Hannu unleashed that meteor shower, it was almost everything he had. And it actually blinded the Anti-Monitor.

GJ: Yep, that’s right. They only have one Superman, and Superman’s pretty busy with Cyborg-Superman at the time. That’s explored more in Alan Burnett’s Cyborg-Superman issue too.

Talk about role reversal...so now instead of Superboy Prime facing 2 Superman...now it's Clark facing 2 evil Supermen.
