anyway can't wait to see this movie, hopefully the plot isn't too similar, though from what i heard it is

a cybertronian artifact hidden on earth, and the autobots need to get to it before the decepticons do... but we'll see

I saw the "Tr:2" poster at the movies this weekend. One of the best posters i've seen in a while.

It was Megatrons face, eyes red the whole area inside the helmet was like a dark red and he looked pissed.

And underneath his face it read "Revenge is Coming". No title, no date, just that..

lol.

the transformers concept is probably one of the coolest concepts ever... when i watched the first movie and saw the transformation sequences i realized just how cool this movie franchise could become...

however, the transformers in this movie have all been made out to be way too weak to be as cool as they should be... the way Bay presented them makes it look like a few F16's and tanks and a dozen foot soldiers can easily deal with 1 decepticon.

therefor eliminating the need for optimus and the autobots... which is, lame.

i'll watch the sequel only cause i love the transformers concept... just wish they gave this project over to someone who could have directed it in less typical hollywood fashion and tried to go for originallity..

another really cool franchise bites the dust... atleast it wasn't a complete f*** up like x-men and fantastic four was...

Yeah, he does look kinda cool. I wouldn't want him to be a cassette tape, this whole movie universe is supposed to be only inspired by the G1 cartoons.

Im a die hard G1er, as you know but you dont have to be a fanboy to assert that he could easily have been a DAB radio/cd player like Frenzy if only Bay hadnt been so much of an ass about things.

Truth is, he didnt want the toys and merchandising to go to G1 companies, so Bay palmed us off with that poor excuse for Frenzy instead that "No mass shifting" rule only to break it when he showed us the cube.

Someone who is friends with the term fanboy might say that you'd have to be a Bay fanboy just to put up with inferior idea after inferior idea being substituted for the things that made the original so cool and the marketable name that it was.

Its making transformers shit.

Ive heard rumours of hot chicks that are Frenzy-esque Pretenders and an army of them are chasing the Witwickies and all sorts of stuff that sounds like its gonna be more of the same from the 1st with a remorseless disregard for anything that the fans want to see, instead, it being a merchandising film made by a man who doesnt even like Transformers for people who who he presumes will know as much, perhaps even less about the subject matter than he does..

Grim stuff.
