Is it a fad in Britain to hate Americans?

don't feel bad I was banned for like 6 months by accident lol

If you ask me, it's a fad everywhere to hate Americans.

Yeah, it is........... 🙁

It also seems like it's a fad in America, and other places to see British people as an absolute stereotype, which can be pretty annoying.

Speaking for myself, whenever I use stereotypes reffering to Brit's it's all joking.

Only the tea thing....... 😂

Otherwise...........NO

Oh, besides, tight lipped, staunched, conservative and boring?.......

The tea thing's ok and quite light hearted, even though I was stopped by a strange woman in Newark airport after she'd heard me speak she approached me and asked ''how much tea do you actually drink then?''.

The worst stereotype is the one that we're all ugly and have crooked teeth, that's utter bollocks.

We know not all Brits are ugly, buck toothed, arrogant bastards, I'm not being serious.

Conservative? 😉

That does hurt.

When I was in America a few years back, I had about six people throughout the trip ask me and my Dad how much tea we drank..

We had to point out that England isn't actually like that, we both drink coffee.

Interesting that the stereotype of Brits (especially the English) in most European countries, is that they are knuckle dragging, lunatic, violent drunken yobs. But in the US they think Brits are like Prince Charles, Mr bean or somet.

These posh, big eared, snotty talking types are actually a minority, the drunken yob steroetype is unfortunately more accurate.

Aye, more Danny Dyer than Hugh Grant, so to speak.

Yeah, that one definitely gets carried away a lot. Jay Leno really loves telling 'bad English teeth' jokes.

Of all the negative American stereotypes, one that particularly annoys me is that we're all monolingual. That's bullshit, ey. 40 million Americans speak Spanish, including myself...it's definitely a misnomer.

I know that many don't, but he's the leader and what regular people think of him in America doesn't matter (well, it does matter, but he's the one we see on tv, that commands troops to Iraq), in the sense that he's in charge.

unfortunately true.the bastard needs to be impeached as well.First get rid of cheney though, cant afford him to be the next president.Impeach him first.

Greatest thread of all time?

I think so.

There was something constructive I was going to put here. I swear.

Often its belived that generally Americans are fat, incredibly dumb and into in-breeding, true or not?

Having been to America and Canada on several occasions, I must admit their not the brightest fellows, not that the few I met could be generalised for the entire nation of course but I have to also admit, their work ethic is so much better. Walk into an American Wallmart or petrol station and you get a "Hows your morning sir? have a nice day!", while in Britain its "wat ya want? heres ya change..." assuming you get a response at all from the piercing covered, tatooed youth serving you.

Obviously depends on where you visit.

As for tea, I dont drink tea or coffee and know only one person who drinks it on a regular basis or to excess. A more common drink is high energy ones like Monster and Relentless.

No one hates America anymore. Obama changed it all.

We are fat and dumb here, no denying that.
