Actually, despite the fact that I'm a huge Star Wars fan, I think most of the EU is garbage and more or less refuse to acknowledge the NJO as having existed. Thank god EU isn't canon ermm

And I like flowers and all, but I think there's a big difference between simple and plain.

...I was never a huge geek just from the films...the books are what really got me into it, and the NJO are awesome imo, as long as you don't mind a slow departure from the original characters.

Nooooo! EU is non-canon. They tie in some things from the books to be in the movies, but they are still out of the realm of the true Star Wars universe.

I keep getting that comment about my work and something it really confuses me because I don't see it in many of the works that I've done 😕

I like simple. Simple is good. But yours I felt was plain...there wasn't anything going on with it. There was far too much blank, empty space.

This is what concerns me is that I felt that it had a lot going on with the texture in the background, the image overlays and the shadowing without trying to be to “busy”. Please don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining about loosing, but I get this comment a lot and I take it in concern when designing new work and I keep getting the same comment over and over and wondering what I’m missing. Any suggestions what could have made this design work better, from you or anyone else. Since I do this for a living I need to make sure I improve and it doesn’t happen in my work.

Just the films, 1-6.

Video games are some of the most non-canon you can get. Read some of the comics and you'll see how out there they are/used to be (a rabbit Jedi who looked like a cartoon character?), the novels contradict the new movies so many times it's not funny.

I take it you mean the older novels...New Republic era and all. But honestly, other than (likely) some botched references to pre-Episode IV, that were proved wrong by the prequels, there isn't a ton that contradicts...especially with the newer stuff.

And I was under the assumption that they were canon because I've heard the rumor several times that Lucas himself approves the storylines and such.
