sigh, after like 8 days. 1800 students{aged 4 up male and female} dead. 60 army rangers dead. upwards of a couple of hundred thousand shots fired. range of innocent casualties in a 7 mile radius. cobra gunships used. heavy mortars, rocket pods, gatling guns, tanks, apcs, the hwole lot. they killed the imaam. my house's windows are broken. curfew stil on. the place smells and sounds like death. over 20 camera crew dead also including reporters. government's trying to hide the civilian casualties again. claiming no more than 20 CIVILIANS DIED IN THE 8 DAYS!!!!!! FN RIDICULOUS!!!! ofcourse this is the number that will be given out and quoted in the manipulative western media. darn i hate these bastards. backlash already begun. over 6 suicide attacks against the army. tried to shoot musharraf's plane down. another mosque in nnorthern areas started defyin with a whole north west frontier province with them. unrest, protests, more blastas in katrachi, heightened police/army at every corner. actually, two young girls from the madrissa as sudents were called on tv and literally cried their lungs out as a government spokesperson and minister denied any real deathtoll of their girlfriends claiming that theyr all home safely. while the students verified between sobs that they had burried them with their own hands and still had blood marks on their veils. it was almost heartbreaking. ive never been with madrissas or islam, but the massacre that the government has staged here, is nothing short of horrendous. the huge mosque complex is in ruins. it seems every day, im getting more n more weary of the state of humanity. i started opposing the pro extremist madrass, but now feal like womitting, seeing whats done to them and the innocent students there.
Innocent students? Let's not over react here shall we. Of course there were people in that Mosque that weren't approving of what happened there, but everybody knows that the leaders of that Mosque have for a long time now tried to create their own law. From what I hear a lot of people are actually upset that the government didn't decide to act a hell of a lot sooner when all of this could have prevented.
If innocent people died by the hands of the government then that is hugely unfortunate but to blame only the government and say the Mosque leadership did not wrong is just plain idiotic.
nope. the mosque's management did a LOT of wrong things. but nothing even approaching what the government did. they took this as an oppurtunity and SLAUGHTERED 1800 students who were mostly non combatants and over half were girls between 13 and 18. its not over reaction. you should have been here to see it.
Ive seen some sources from the middle east (Al Araybia from UAE, I think its UAE) was saying that the death tolls were much higher than government reports, and there were instances of multiple bodies being stuffed into single coffins for burial.
From what I've seen it was probably a blood bath, 1800 seems a little high for me, but half that seems reasonable.
But honestly, the members who fought the government deserved what they got. Like the school in Russia a few years ago, once people take hold of a building like this with hostages, there is almost nothing to be done that can make this situation "better". Tragic as it is, the government wasn't the one holding them in there with AK47s and RPGs

Well my sources are limited and I wasn't there, but like inimalist said, it was still them that picked up the guns and held people in there. The government had to make a choice, that they didn't make the best one or that they didn't handle it perfectly is of course bad. But it still wasn't the government that picked up arms first.
