Picture this. Obi Won bows down to Vader because in all actuality he knows there is know way he can beat him in that form of the force. Actually impossible for him to do so(defeat him) if you want to imply facts, same goes for even Yoda . (He joins the force, becomes all powerful, blah blah and helps Puke Gaywalker. Fast forward. Or rewind-->
Episode III - Would it at all be to unrealistic to assume Darth Vader(young Anakin) Kills all the Jedi off, and The final three that are left standing are Yoda, Windu, and Obi Won, In an all out fight to take down the all mighty Darth Vader at his prime? Mace loses his life. Thus the breathing suit(or whatever it may be called) Comes into play from the wounds inflicted from such a battle. Yes another theory on how Vader obtained all the injuries. Anakin at Obi Wons age would have ripped him to shreads. I like it.
Yoda is clearly the best swordsman. His small size actually helps him with a weapon as deadly as a lightsaber. He's quicker than a cat, and it would take no effort to cut off a limb. Having to swing down at him is a disadvantage to taller fighters because if he blocks high, he can quickly horizontally slash low and cut off a leg or ankle.
You have to remember that he's not in his prime, he's well past it. The lil Kermit wanna be walks around with a cane for God's sake.

Yeah right- Luke is DREADFUL!
I think people need to remember that GL stated that all the Prequel era combatants are better than the Original Trilogy ones. Obi-Wan is old and has let his powers fade, Vader is a cripple and Luke is half-trained.
Best fighter I have seen on screen is still Dooku.

This topic will probably start some heated arguments, but I feel it must be addressed. The topic is about the best lightsaber fighters. I feel that two of the most underated lightsaber fighters are Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul. Darth Maul was certainly capable of holding his own against anyone with a lightsaber. He died because he got stupid and he payed for it . . . with his life. Could Darth Maul have taken on and defeated Mace Windu or Dooku? It's hard to say. Lightsaber are DEADLY. One slight miscalculation could be fatal. (Unlike a sword, all you need is to get touched the lightsaber . . .) But what about Qui-Gon Jinn? Dooku was his teacher (or so he claimed). Did Dooku teach (young) Qui-Gon Jinn the old style lightsaber fighting (in addition the new style)? Perhaps Qui-Gon knew both styles, but favored the new style (kinda like a martial artist who knows multiple arts but has a favorite). Confused yet?In reality . . . the art of the lightsaber keeps evolving from movie to movie as GL (tries) to make the lightsaber art more visual. Compare the 'first' lightsaber duel of Darth Vader vs Ben Kenobi to the multiple duels at the end of AOTC. Perhaps I mixing apples with oranges? 😂
How is Maul underrated? I agree with Ush on this--if anything, he's overrated. However, I still think he's one of the best lightsaber duelists... Other than him, Dooku, maybe Yoda.
