Songs you're embarrassed to say you like

Started by Victor Von Doom5 pages

Why do you care about an arbitrary genre, as decided by some random people?

Why does that induce you to feel embarrassment?

They're not even emo.

Lol, I like the Bee Gees.

Okay... care to elaborate?

I think all that can be said has been said.

Recent one.

Kaiser Chiefs - Everything Is Average Nowadays. Oh so catchy, but oh so obvious shite.

I know they're not emo, and the genre doesn't make me like them any less. It's just that I've told some people that I like them and then they suddenly have me figured for an emo. Why should what other people think make me feel embarrassed? Because that's what embarrassment is. It's worry over what other people think. But whatever. I really don't feel like arguing right now.

That's what embarrassment is to you.

For reasons why, see previous post.

Hmm...where to start.

Every track off The Killers first album, every track off The Early November's first album, every track off Senses Fail first EP, the odd Limp Bizkit song from their first album, but the winner has to be that Tatu song...I forget the name but I think it was their first single. For some reason it stuck in my head three years ago and has refused to be dislodged. Teenage, fake lesbian Russian power-pop, now that's embarrassing.

All the things she said?

They probably stole that tune from something good anyways.

I don't understand how you can be embarrassed liking a whole album though. That is just odd.

Because, as somewhat of a self-confessed elitist, those are exactly the kinds of bands I 'should' (and usually do) look down on. Yeah.

I hope you will forgive me if I say that is incredibly stupid.

Shoot me?

Might be in order.

I get it. You're gunning for my mod job, aren't you. By way of discrediting and maybe even murdering me.

I wish I wasn't so easy to predict.

Probably that Nelly Furtado song. I think it is called promiscuous.

Yeah, same for me.

Also, Britney Spear's - Lucky
Justin Timberlake's - Summer Love
Tokio Hotel's - Schrei
David Hasselhoff - I've been looking for freedom
Madonna's - American Pie much more than McLeans
Limp Bizkit - Behind Blue Eyes
Linkin Park - Crawlin
etc.
