Yeah, I think I will get one, but just not go wild with it. I'll only buy things I need or desperately want. Plus, I'll still be having my monthly pay anyway, so fingers crossed, I won't need to use it that much.

Dont get a barclaycard geezer, they are satan in plastic form, the anal percentage rape is murder....

No chance of an overdraft?

I've never been in debt once, BECAUSE I'M NOT A DUMBASS. ermmnone

Should I get a credit card. I'm really tempted to get one and just pay back the minimum a month, should I bother? Will the debt be too intense for me?

You're only eighteen. Getting a credit card right now would be foolish and irresponsible. And you just proved that you would be that way with it by saying you'd only pay back the minimum.

If you only pay back the minimum you will ALWAYS be in debt which can effect you credit in the future.

Well after my wife gets out of vet school we will be over $300,000 in debt with our school loans 😱

We have already paid off the credit cards, but you have to watch out for them.

Yeah, I've heard that they're a bit of a nightmare. The one I'm thinking of getting is a mastercard from Lloyds TSB, it's got a good rate of interest (11.9% APR) and it has 0% interest on purchases for the first 6 months.

I could get an overdraft, but the credit card is more for security than a lot else. Especially as I'll be going on a round the world trip in January, and if I lose my debit card while I'm on that, I'm fvcked.

Ah i see, yeah the lloyds one looks a lot better, also i forgot about the old balance transfers, if a better apr comes about. Think the only other good thing about them is they do improve your credit rating, well they do if you pay them back and dont end up getting a visit from bullet tooth tony.
