the perfect notebook

Im already tired of my table pc, and im about to buy a notebook.
Can anybody tells me wich brand or type would be the better choice?

Sony Vaio is good...but then again I hate all laptops.

HP notebooks are rather a solid choice of laptop . Also, they do have decent tech phone support and a decent warranty. IBM's are also decent since there built to last a very long time and there very linux friendly (something more linux users then anyone else) However, your choice of laptop is highly dependent on your price range, which is what?
