Your thoughts on the upcoming Skrull Invasion Story.

I personally think that it's great that for once in a summer crossover, the enemy is not an ally. While that KIND OF applies to this story, it's not as much as previous ones.

But what I DONT like is that Marvel is probably going to take the easy way out and saying that everybody who died in Civil War was actually a Skrull. I swear, if they do that then I am dropping EVERY Marvel book that I own.

I don't know whats up with Marvel lately. Half their stuff is still great and even better and the other half is utter crap!

I think it's a great idea, except I know it'll be butchered in the execution 😬.

Rather than actually using this to develop a few more characters, add tension and further the MU.. They'll just use it as a means to retcon out things they don't like, or resolve mistakes made by idiot writers.

i really wish i had the time machine or scrying pool or whatever it is you guys use to see into the future and know what the outcome of an event that hasn't started yet will be. that'd be useful.

But no 😎 to see the outcome of an event that hasn't started, I can dig that.

i like speculating as much as the next guy. i don't like writing off an entire event, or company even, based on what i think might happen despite having absolutely nothing to support my claims.

Reminds me of the Millennium story in DC where a bunch of Manhunter robots were impersonating various people in the DCU. That was pretty good and I'm sure this will be too.

I think it's cheap writing, but it might be interesting to see.
