How to make the Games vs Forums a better place

I think you specifically mean to ask if they're willing to change it so that taple top characters -can be used-, yes? I'm on board with supporting this idea all the way and such.

Wouldnt that break the "video game characters only" rule? I think your pushing the boundaries a bit by adding WH40k units from Space marine.

What we're asking for is to adjust the 'video game only' rule, to allow for tabletop characters, since those are games as well.

For now, we'll go ahead and allow TTG-originated characters for the vs. forum here, simply because there's really nothing for tabletop on KMC.

We're also going to, if Raz returns anytime soon, see about maybe reorganizing the VG forum itself into a general gaming forum with a tabletop subforum. No promises on that one, but if we get a chance to make it happen, we'll do so.

Most of the feats will probably come from novels and manuels though.

Aside from the short term allowing of TTG characters here, I imagine once Raz comes back it won't really matter, since Impediment's already leading this huge charge to make a Vs. Everything forum. Once that's made we won't even need multiple boards anymore.

Well, yeah, we will, because the consensus on that amongst the mods is largely that single media vs. threads will still go in their respective forums.

So Master Chief skull****ing Captain Titus will still take place in a video games only board, not the mixed genre board.

That makes more sense, in a way.

EDIT- I imagine though, that the majority of game character vs. game character fights would still take place in the mixed genre. board, if only because you don't need to argue about using non-game sources as feats (i.e. novels).

Novels and other sources like that for feats aren't disallowed here; they're just something that needs to be specified if they're allowed for that specific thread by the thread starter.

And yeah, why would we kill off the individual forums? Not everyone's interested in the insanity that the everything vs. would be, after all.

I honestly did not expect this to be decided on so quickly.

And reorganizing the VG forum into a general gaming forum with a tabletop subforum sounds like a pretty cool idea.
