I believe that alot of help would come from (although I know it has caused headaches in the past), allowing more leeway on some matches (if they are reasonable enough, and the debates are conducted in a good manner).
Secondly and probably more importantly, how we conduct ourselves in a debate. Sure we might not all agree on what should be used as criteria/canon but we don't have to insult other members and fight, and I know it's hard to avoid, and we've all been guilty of it in the past. Although we have many different opinions on how to debate, that is where most of the debate comes in itself. The arguments on what SHOULD be used, and why it should be used, generally take up most of the space in a lengthy debate. I know that from years of experience, and I'm sure you have noticed it too.
That's two of the major ones that were on my mind now, but there are more if I can think of them.
I don't think there's too few people here for an off-topic thread.
And, um, considering the CB Vs OT thread has over 52,000 posts, not quite sure where you came up with it moving slow. Not to mention the fact that I don't think anyone would expect it to be an area of constant conversation, but just one where people can talk or ask questions that are relevant to the forum but don't actually go anywhere else in here.
And spamming of other threads WILL NOT be tolerated. I don't care how "fun" someone think it is (and I never understood the mindset of acting like an ass being fun), it is against the rules. Do it and you will be warned. Continue doing so after being warned and you will be banned.
And as I already stated, there'll be no changes in the rules to allow more 'leeway' in matches. It's not needed. What is is for people to step away from the same tired characters that are always used.

co-sign.
I say it's about time we start putting some of these suggestions to use and see how things turn out.
For starters...the wikipedia link, or any other source of info for characters at the introduction of every match is very important.
Originally posted by LanaI guess if it keeps the spamming down it is a good idea. The CB vs OT thread is on and off, it is incredibly slow at times (particularly during the school year), but it can also be fast. Just depends who is on and when. Then you have the judge which is another story entirely. 😆
