And funny matches I've done...Yoda vs. Yoda is hilarious.
Also, GK made Ganondorf, so I had to try and make Zelda (used Amy's style)...THAT was an entertaining fight.
And I really, really like Kilik's style. Taki's is still my favorite but the more I play with his, the more I like it. Nice balance of speedy and powerful, and he gets great range...

cervantes is usually goodI honestly dont think maxi is that good, since you have to get him moving to start doing the more effective things, where most of the other characters can usually just do something awesome whenever they feel like it
but I havent played against too many maxi users hehe
I know i'm definitely not gonna get past floor 45. (not anytime soon at least) That golden chick's too fast and forget about ringing her out. And i had all my 3 fighters on level 9 and she took me/us all out in less than a min. In 2 battles, in a row. I just turned it off after that. And i usually play dozens of battles at a time.
It's ridiculous. Anyone got any tips on defeating her?

Tried the cheap buffed up Azeroth tactic? Simply make a very very strong Azeroth, with HP Drain A, and spam the attack 1AA or 1AAB, should work in most tough spots, but very lame.

Azroth? Whoa, he's way down on level 1 or 0. it'll take me a while to get him up to speed. But if that's a sure way to do it.
I've noticed that she blocks alot. Maybe i can critically finish her after exhausting her soul gauge.

My Yoda vs Yoda match was the worst one I've ever done, not doing that again! Cant grab, cant jump-attack, basically got stuck with simple horizontal swipes to do any damage! dammit
I have one simple, easy request for the developers....MAKE LIGHTSABERS AVAILABLE FOR CUSTOM CHARACTERS! 😠

And some other things that i got from a review of this game
-Not enough reaction time in the system to counter. Apart from predicting what the enemy will do, players have usually already entered their command and prayed they get lucky
-Has lost its way, it's moved away from raw fun and tried to be too technical.
-the manual for the game says nothing. And is it so much to ask that the list of moves match the actual buttons on the controller? That's just lazy... and another layer of confusion

I love that randomness in my fights, its so awesome when you go to do a low horizontal attack and a split second later the enemy jumps over the blade into a high attack that was completely coincidental. 😂

-theres plenty of time.. the problem there is you've spent what? 3 weeks at best playing the game?... dont expect to be able to parry stuff successfully in such a short amount of play time
-I'm not sure which of the soul caliburs hasnt been technical.. I think you've just been mashing against the cpu and gotten away with it til now
--------B
A--------------K
--------G
(ignore the -'s.. the system ignores my spacings)
-its the same layout globally for ps3, ps2, ps1 (soul edge) xbox, xbox360.. so I dont know why they'd change it now.. and the game manual only talks about the game systems (air control, guard impact, soul crush, etc)... theres like nearly 100 moves for each character... thats way too much to put in the manual when you can just press "command list" in game
I recommend finding someone that actually knows how to play the game, so they can show you the nuances of fighting games
(such as MID attacks ignoring low block, attacks that animate and look like they're going to hit HIGH but hit low instead, different properties of the same move between regular hit and counter hit)
Ex. Seigfrieds 6K (forward + kick).. if you hit them normally it just does some damage... but if you hit them and interrupt an attack with it.. it puts them into a stun effect, where you can follow up and punish
stun effects are godly in this game simply because if you just knock someone to the floor in SCIV, they can immediately guard right away.. so anything that knocks down isnt as helpful as it used to be...
hope that helped.. maybe JustFrame can describe things better 😎
It would've been nice if the lightsaber fights were a little more true to the way it is in the movies where there's consistent sword action instead of the pause/gap that happen in between bursts of 3 hit combos that happen in SC4. In fact, it would've been cool if all the fighters shwashbuckled that way.
Imagine a fight that would have you block, swing, duck, kick, jump, dodge, run and move all at once and for a steady while in the way Obi Wan and Anakin did it in ep. 3 during their final duel. Just a nonstop seamless flow with small pauses in between instead of the abrupt and interruptive breaks that happening every few moments like in SC4.
